These Tabi boots are the best shoes I've ever bought. They're VERY light. It feels like I am wearing socks with thin rubber soles on them. They're also very flexible for climbing trees and stuff. The velcro keeps them very snug and they are really silent. I recommend you get them 1 size bigger than your normal shoe size so they aren't really tight. (my friend got his normal shoe size and the toe on his boots ripped after a few months.) Also, you don't need the tabi socks unless there too uncomfortable for you. I just pushed in my socks in-between my 1st and 2nd toe and did it that way and it wasn't weird feeling after the 3rd or 4th time.
The downside to these is that after a half a year of wearing them (if you wear them as much as I did) the grip stars to get un-grippy and they rip near the bottom, but if your not too extreme with them they will last a good while.
