Hello. The flex joint on this is key to how well it works, and I am very happy I chose this one over the wobbly base ones. For horse-stance puching, it creates a nice rhythm in its rate of return. With eyebrow kicks, the amount of give and unchained top allow for impact, and flow of movement. The unit as a whole stays firmly planted. I inspected the flex joint itself, and I'd be honored to wear it out - although it flexes, it seems as strong as a car's drive shaft. I received the updated, 8 bolt version, and the tank has a splined top for greater rigidity. The core for the bag section is the same material as the tank, and has a hole; I'm curious about filling this with sand for inertial resistance tuning. (I recommend the use of a thread locking compound on the bolts.) - T. C.
