Customer Question of the Discipline Martial Arts Shoes
$64.95
On Sale:

Good for Kung Fu?.

Hey, I study a style that has a lot of acrobatics and sparring, would these shoes be ok for me?.
A few of my main concerns are:
the shoe will last for at least 8 months with daily workouts.
It WILL NOT LEAVE marks on my kwoon floor.
It will get a good amount of traction against tile floor.
and last but not least that it will be ok for doing a lot of leg conditioning and heavy bag work.
Thanks, all comment and replies are greatly appreciated!.

Hey Collin. I'd like to list a few answers for you, that way you can assess if these shoes would be the right choice for you.

1. I really believe the durability of these shoes would last for you. Although it sounds like you are going to be using them hard, I've yet to see a brand of martial art shoe with higher quality.

2. I've never had these shoes mark a mat when I've worn them. That being said, don't take any risks - try them out on a spare piece of mat or off in the corner before going full tilt in the center of the dojang.

3. They will provide added traction on tile, although they are not as grippy as a running shoe. Also be aware that you'll have to compensate a bit during spinning on mats.

4. They will be fine for conditioning and bag work. Understand that the top of the shoe doesn't have any foam padding as you might expect from a sparring footgear. They also aren't great for sparring because they don't protect your partner in any way (it's basically like getting kicked with a shoe).
