I like to spar with my friend with wooden weapons, but have never used a kama. I have a foam short sword, long sword and a mace. I am also looking into the foam bo staff on this site. I want to know if this kama could be stand up to these weapons and if it could perform well. If not what weapon would you recomend?

Hey Josh. These kama can take light contact, but not hard. If you were sparring at a decent pace I think you would find the blades a bit thin and prone to breaking after extended use.

It's difficult to use practice kama for sparring because of how thin the blade must be, whether you make it out of wood or foam.
