Wash before wearing!

The Kuma Kicks do their job very well and were a good value, HOWEVER, the first time my daughter wore them she broke out into an extremely itch rash of bright red spots where the connecting straps touched the skin on the soles of her feet. It lasted 7 days. I almost threw the gear out, but hated the though of wasting so much money. So, I washed them with lots of soap, then used a mild bleach solution on them. No problems after that. Same thing happened with the Kuma Punch set.. By the way, I emailed Karate Depot about the problem, but never heard back.

Sorry to hear about the reaction karate mom! It sounds like your daughter may have an allergy to the packing material or something used during the production method. We sell quite a few of these and this is the first reaction event we've heard about. Luckily that means I doubt there is a problem at large with the equipment.

I would recommend being careful with headgear for your daughter, she might react around her face and neck.
