I decided to buy this weapon because I researched it and asked a few people about and they said it was a versatile weapon. It could be used for blocking and attacking at close range. I decided to get a wooden one to start of my training in this weapon. It's pretty durable. It even withstood an attack from a tanto blade and the only thing that was left was a small mark where the blade and wood clashed. The only problem is that the edge frays after repeated use. Hardly noticeable because it's only one or two threads, but it still frays nonetheless. Also, the joint where the ribs are connected by the screw becomes a little loose after hitting it with great force or blocking a strong blow with it. It can be easily fixed by hammering the screw lightly.

A good weapon and good quality. The wood is quite durable, but it would be better if the screw didn't loosen after a few strong hits and the edge didn't fray because it messes with the ability to grip the weapon for some reason.
