*In short

The last Karate competition I took part in used these mats instead of the normal training mats they used before, and the difference is plain to see. Apart from the much better aesthetic look of these mats, they are:

Much softer, great for the people I drop on the deck.

Have a sort of gliding feeling if you know what I mean... the other ones make you stick to the floor when moving around and make sparring and kata demonstrations a nightmare.

More absorbent. You know how annoying it is when the same mats have been used for a while one day and they start to get slippery when you least want them to. (just when you go to kick someone in the head.) you drop to the floor, and have to start all over again. Not with these.

I am now doing my basement up as a gym and will seriously be hunting these down for it. (I live in Scotland, so I'll need to find a supplier over here.)

*In short I would readily recommend these to any persons looking for training mats.
