Pretty Good

This is a decent sword stand, except for two things:

1. Despite the description, it DOES NOT come assembled. You have to assemble it yourself. No tools required. It doesn't come with any directions at all. It's pretty easy to figure out.

2. It was a little too tight on one side so I had to use a hammer to pound it in. Not a huge deal, but that one side needed to be sanded down about a 1/8".

The actual "mouth" of this stand, the part that holds it, is a little too wide. It holds my bokken perfectly (the red oak one from this site), but I wanted to use it to display a sword that is a family heirloom. Unfortunately the blade of the sword is too narrow, so it doesn't sit with the blade in a vertical position but rather a horizontal one. This would happen to pretty much any sword that isn't a Claymore or some other broad sword. Works great for bokkens, though, since they have thick blades.

Summary: I'd recommend this for anyone looking for a decent sword stand. Understand before you buy, though, that your particular sword may not sit exactly how you want it to in the stand.
