Practicing aikido, traditional drawstring pants just were not being cooperative. As an uke I was thrown to the ground and getting back up consistently. After 3 or 4 repetitions of this my pants would be falling off. Searching the web for a solution I found these elastic waistband pants. They also include a drawstring feature that runs through the elastic waistband so if you like that feature it's still there. Not only is this middle weight pant durable but they eliminated the problem of losing my pants in the middle of practice.
