To determine correct size, measure the distance across the lowest knuckles (the knuckles you punch with) of the 4 upper fingers (all the fingers except the thumb). Measure by laying knuckles flat on a ruler.

These gloves are $19.99 for a reason. I purchased these gloves in January of 2009, and literally used every penny I paid for them. After only 2 months, they were badly torn in several places. In March, my trainer told me that I had to get a new pair to prevent injury. So they are pretty "cool" gloves, and they are reasonably priced; but if you fight, don't expect much life from them. Some of the people I train with at the gym have bought these, and the only person who uses them regularly has really bad arthritis, so she doesn't hit hard on purpose, just enjoys the workout. She likes the way the padding feels: just enough to cushion her hand as she taps the mitt. Everyone else who has tried it (all beginners) never used it more than one workout before consigning it to the closet to gather dust. They hated the way it felt when they hit hard, and stepped up to MMA gloves within a week. Permalink

I am sooooooooooo disappointed by these gloves. I thought the idea brilliant for replacing the bandage wraps. On the overall, the feel is very nice and gel protection offered seems to be sufficient (under boxing gloves) and even far better than the wraps. Unfortunately, the seams along the wrists are so scratchy. I can't imagine the chafing result after a workout session. This seam is of 2 inches long and 1/8 inch thick resulting from 4 layers of fabric at the wrist section, sewn together and made of Velcro and elastic bands. It is worst many time the friction and roughness a new (poor quality) pair of shoes would do. Actually, it would be truer to speak about abrasion than chafing. I wonder on whom Everlast tested the gloves before putting them on the market. It is definitely not a good buy. I trusted Everlast as a renowned brand for the quality of their product and lost my money because I live oversea and shipping the item back for exchange is not worth the price of the gloves. So, buyers beware, unless you have a rhino's skin ;) Wish you a nice work out though :) Permalink

I've had these for 3 months now, and they work great for a while, but mine have started to rip near the finger tip holes. Also, there's a seam in the wrist part and it kind of itches, but other than that, they really absorb the shock very well. Permalink
