    i want to be able to take the speed bag to my gym. Does the ez lock swivel have a screw on that detaches?

    No I believe you have to fasten it with multiple traditional screws.

    Installation

    How is this installed I have an apartment and Im not sure if this would work

    This swivel is isntalled by screwing it into a platform (like this one - bx-sb-23) which you need to make sure is secured safely to support beams in your wall. Seeing as how you are in an apartment, you'll want to make sure you have permission to drill, and that the wall you are using is not a common wall (which would be very noisy for your neighbors).

    You also have the option of getting a free standing bag stand like this - bx-hv-90 which may be more apartment friendly (although like I said, you'll have to check on that).
