This is a very nice case. We would have rated it a 5, if it would have had a shoulder strap, but it fits within the equipment bag that our kids have, so that's not that big a deal. The folks at Karate Depot were great at correcting a problem with the first set of cases that we got. It turns out they were the sword case, not the escrima case. They looked almost exactly like the escrima case, but they were a little too long. Karate Depot quickly sent us the correct case with a pre-paid mailing label to send the sword cases back. No fuss at all. We are very satisfied with our purchase.

This is a very nice staff. Its a great size for my daughters (7 and 9). It's small diameter is a much better fit to their hands than the much thicker rattan bo's that much of the rest of their class uses. The nice finish allows it to slide easily through their hands without chaffing. It's also not too heavy. Both daughters can easily manipulate the staff to perform the spins, strikes, and blocks that they are learning.

Very nice case, very professional look. 12'' nunchucks fit easily. Padding is sufficient to protect against the normal handling bumps and bangs due to handling.

These youth ball bearing rubber nunchucks are very nice for small kids (6 & under). We have a pair of the corded version also, but the ball bearing version is much more like the ones the instructor has, and like what the older kids use. They are light weight, so it's easy for my youngest to manipulate. Note, that these nunchucks are quite short. Bigger kids won't be able to easily catch and release from the armpit.

The karate class my daughter attends was out of stock of their sparring equipment and had told us that the equipment was on back order. My daughter had just become eligible to start sparring and was disappointed. I headed for the internet. After an exhaustive search of about a dozen on-line vendors, I chose this package from Karate Depot. Boy were we ever impressed with what we got. Pictures are OK to get an idea of what the items are, but when we got these items and got to compare these with the equipment the other kids had, we were amazed. This set is by far a better set in terms of quality of construction and ease of use than any other child had. After talking to a number of parents I also learned that the price of this set was about 50% less than they had paid for theirs. You just can't beat that: best stuff, lowest price. I expect some of the parents that have not yet gotten equipment for their kids will be heading for this site. I also had a positive experience with Karate Depot's customer service. There was a minor issue with the original order I placed on-line. They called me early the next day, told me what the issue was and what they were going to do to resolve it. They did everything they said they would do, and I got the merchandise when they said I would. All in all, a very good transaction PS -my daughter kicked butt in her first sparring session yesterday.
