Presenting a new line of advanced, impact resistant forearm guard that will perform for you time after time. The Crushtech technology featured only in Shock Doctor equipment is more resistant to wear than standard foam. It is also thinner so as to avoid the annoying bulkiness of old-style pads.

The pad sleeve is designed to stretch and conform to the arm so as to prevent excessive slipping and turning. It also contains moisture wicking properties so as to keep you cool and comfortable even during intense workouts.

Full Contact Sparring

I am looking for forearm guards for full contact sparring. I wont be using blunt weapons such as swords or sticks. It will be mostly hand to hand. Is this type of guard good for full contact sparring and how does it compare to the shock doctor shockskin forearm guards for this purpose? Permalink

The shockskin tends to be a bit more mobile, while this provides slightly more protection. I haven't tried it in full contact, so all I can really say is that it will provide some protection but you'll definitely still feel impact.

Wrist and Knee Guards for Sword practice

Heyla folks,

My brother has problems with both his wrists and knees and needs both support and protection for them. We practice with bamboo, wood, foam and live steal. Any suggestions for what works best. FYI we practice both Eastern and Western Sword styles. Thanks for the input.

The guard you selected here would work pretty well for the forearms. If you want serious protection against blunt objects you should look into hockey equipment! Hockey shin/knee guards are fantastic - http://www.hockeyworld.com/index/page/product/product_id/4590/product_name/Gear SG1600 Inline Shin Guards- Senior.
