I tried the Macho and it just didn't fit well over my chest. It was pushed out at the top and the bottom wouldn't lay against my belly. The Addidas has the fully adjustable straps and is flexible enough to fit well over my entire torso. I love wearing it for sparring, it fits great.  Permalink

Nice quality protection. I upgraded my daughter's first hogu when she outgrew it to this Adidas Hogu. I'm very pleased. As she's getting closer to black belt testing, I wanted to be sure she had sturdy, reliable protection for sparring. My older daughter has one, and it has held up for 4 years now. Well worth the few dollars extra to upgrade from other basic ones put out by other maufacturers.  Permalink

I have purchased the Adidas Reversible chest guard and I am very impressed. Those shopping for chest guards might notice that the Adidas chestguard costs about $20.00 more than chestguards made by Macho and Lightning. Some of this extra cost is because of the label, but this is a good product. The chestguard is a perfect mold to my body and it IS SO MUCH LIGHTER than most chestguards, IT FEELS LIKE AIR! The materials are strong, yet flexible. The chestguard provides excellent protection with a soft layer, then a stiff layer, then a soft layer of padding that absorbs the most powerful kicks. This kick and punch absorption is incredible, so much better than other chestguards I have used. Spend the extra cash and get the best.  Permalink
