Product Description

Used for all martial arts, this chestguard is the official style of taekwondo competition
Features a shock absorbent rubber body covered in vinyl for added resilience and durability
For a secure and comfortable fit the hogu has long, elastic shoulder straps which cross in back and tie through the side loops and has a Velcro fastener
Reversible with blue scoring circles on one side and red scoring circles on the other

This is great for students just beginning to spar up to I believe red belt. (in my opinion, pads still slow you down and get in the way so up to red, no matter what kick, it's gonna hurt.) I like how there are two separate colors in case you are in a tournament you could switch colors for the judges. Permalink

This chetguard is well worth the price. In fact, it's close to a steal for the quality of the product you get. My school has sevearl gurards of this same type, and they are good lightweight pad that don't restirct your range of motion, yet offer a high degree of protection. Permalink

The chest guard is nice. However; there is nothing to keep it from coming apart. There are two three inch velcro strapes that should hold the center together for a tight fit. The one I ordered was a large. So six inches of velcro will not work on a 36-40 inch wast line. Permalink

This is so much better than the ones he is using in class, and it makes our son feel much more serious about his sport. KD has the best prices around and a great shipping policy.
