This was the perfect hogu for my daughter. It comes with back padding that she previously did not have with other brands. Very easy to take off and on. Great product!  Permalink

The products quality is fantastic, it does appear to be very well made and the padding is excellent. The problem with this hogu is the design, it does not wrap all the way around like the normal new style hogu's do. It stops about where the old dot style guards did and has a spine pad attached with velcro to the body of the hogu (seperate from the laces) that is supposed to cover the rest. The problem is that unless you are perfectly sized for the velcro the spine pad will be loose and uncomfortable due to bunching or cause the protector to be too tight. You can only make very minor adjustments with the velcro which seriously limits the size range. Again the quality is great, it is the design that is bad. 5 stars for quality, 1 star for design.  Permalink

This chest protector is bar-none the best one out there, and this remarkable price truly makes it an amazing product all around. the thing I like best is that I can knee my friend (as hard as I can) many, many times before he needs to quit, due to the hard-plastic shield, under the shock-absorbing foam, which distributes blows very well. My ONLY complaint is that you need another person to tie it in the back.
p.s. have it tied extremely tight, having it loose offers no protection.  Permalink
