      This body protector offers thorough protection for the trainer's upper body. This lightweight gear protects the torso from all manner of body shots, body kicks, knees, push kicks, etc. Behind the durable synthetic leather shell is Ring to Cage's trusted GelTech padding. The back of the body protector is secured via two adjustable shoulder straps with buckle closures, plus one rear strap that uses a hook-and-loop strap.

    I am teaching a self defense course, does this product provide effective protection for the entire torso including the lower ab area or should I go with another product like the Punch town?

    Hi Gene. I think this particular product would be a good choice for your needs. It covers the torso, abs, and kidney regions. The gel layer helps with reducing impact, and the green areas help students focus on vulnerable strike zones.
