So far so good . Fits my daughters head fairly well. Comfortable and covers the ear without any problems . She has a lot of hair had to go a size larger.
LT weight construction and different type of consistency in thickness compared to one she has had in the past, stated it is thinner and does not absorb the blows as well. Knowing that it reminds her to be more adept with her blocking and defense.
Durability not certain of with the velcro attachment and elasticity/ plasticity but overall satisfied with the product and the price.  Permalink

Have been buying this particular style helmet for several years for my autistic daughter's head protection. So nice that it comes in a feminine pink. It offers great protection and is lightweight and comfortable. We could get free head protection through the state, but prefer to buy this helmet instead because of comfort and style.  Permalink

I spar all the time with advanced fighters and this unit does just fine for me. I wanted something light, that didn't block any view and served its purpose. I have been hit many times using this head gear and have been fine because of it. Like anything its only as good as the person wearing it. If you take a round house kick unabated to the head and get your clock rung , don't blame the gear.   Permalink

I brought this head gear for my son and I, which is our first time participating in karate and the need for head gear. The measurements provided were perfect. We got a perfect fit from head gear to everything in the set. It was well worth the price. Had a little mix up in the ordering process and I had to make a phone call. I love the Warrior gears. they are strong and durable for me and my students. The don'e rip and tear after a few hours sparring. However, I wish they would make them in WHITE.  Permalink

I ordered this headgear & im glad that i listened to someone in my family before placing the order!!! I did read the review about this head gear & took in to consideration what everyone had said here. & i ordered what my measurements were & it fits fine! But i will have to wear a head band to keep my hair out off my face!

I use warrior gear and this is the second purchase of warrior gear for my daughter as she has grown . Im a firm beleiver you buy the best protective gear you can get especially for my kids.The reason for a 4 instead of 5 is the face sheild available for the head gear is very poor design and I think that some great design improvements could be made overall.   Permalink

Go up a size, save yourself the time. The size chart is just plain wrong and I wasted time and money buying the wrong size. Very frustrating and adds a lot to the price to have to go through all that.  Permalink

This head gear is form fitting and provides great protection, especially against the dreaded back fist. My only suggestion is that if you're borderline which size to order, go up a size. If you follow the sizing measurements exactly, the gear is very snug.   Permalink

Another great product from Macho. I spar at least once a week & the Warrior gear is quality and is better then other brands that are similar to it that are priced a bit lower. This is a must buy for anyone considering sparring gear for the first time or replacing old gear. You won't be disappointed.  Permalink

Well made piece of gear! Double padding at forehead and at base of skull to protect against knockdown impacts. Nice pockets (with special channels to prevent air pressure damage to ears) for ears. Padding is lightweight but thick and resilient. Good ventilation and easy to keep clean. Note that there is little padding over the mouth - some of us like this, some don't. Small extensions over cheeks help protect face better than other open-face headguards without a grill. Good equipment for non-contact sparring (or, for those of us whose control isn't what it used to be, semi-contact).   Permalink
