Just got into boxing/mma with some friends from work. I Purchased this headgear after reading some reviews. Must say it is great. It has nice dense foam which disperses energy well. I can take hard head shots and not get a headache. The covering material is comfortable and helps keep the headgear from shifting when sweaty. Nice wide velcro for easy tightening. Visibility is great also. Only complaint that I have is that the one of the ear protector stitches broke already (which can easily be fixed). Hopefully long term durability will be good...time will tell. First impression is that this headgear is definitely worth the money!  Permalink

It only took one accidental hit to the head to make me realize I wanted headgear with a mask. I checked with several different styles and found this one to be the most appealing.

It's not very bulky so it doesn't bump into my chest guard much which was a problem with my other piece. I've taken a few more good shots to the head and the plastic seems to hold up with out issue. Visibility takes a bit getting used to but not so bad.  Permalink

I've been using this headgear for awhile now. It has great protection, I've been hit and kicked in the head pretty hard and have yet to be hurt. The only thing I don't like about it is that the peripheral vision is limited. It is difficult to see out the sides, which means you might miss some punches and kicks coming your way.   Permalink

First off the price is excellent. With the price of just some of the face cages offered by competitors the fact that you get both the mask and headgear was what made me give this equipment a shot. I train shootfighting and while working boxing and ground n pound this headgear has been a wise investment. I've taken some hard shots and the movement hasn't been bad just a little fold on the ear normally, which can be annoying but not to bad. My only gripe is that the plastic string that connects the shield to the headgear broke after my second time using it. I glued the mask with the string attached to the headgear with an adhesive and it has held up so far. Other than that a good piece of gear to have.  Permalink

First of all, it's an all-in-one great value item. Although it doesn't give you a heavy protection, it's more than enough for beginners like me who needs to protect a big nose on a handsome face :) It's slightly hot inside but the air openings seems working just fine (I haven't tried them in competition yet) The eyesight opening is thought well since I don't like the feeling of a transparent shield blocking my view. And if you care, the openings look stylish as well. My head is XL (60 cm) but the avalaible size 'L' fits me ok but I can't say it's perfect. (I tried Macho XP Full before buying this. Well that was absolutely perfect but it was also too big, bulky and much more expensive including the mask.) Overall, the great price and my beginner level were the determining factors for choosing this product. And I think it's a good choice. Recommended.  Permalink
