1/2" foam provides coverage for instep, ankle, achilles and toes
Open bottom helps prevent slippage
Velcro closure around ankle along with a vinyl strip across ball of foot ensures a good fit
Top is ventilated for added comfort
Unique crescent mood cutout at achilles for better flexibility
Outer is smooth vinyl -- wipe clean with a damp rag
Sizing option is in men's. Women order one size smaller (if you are a women's 7, you are a men's 6)

I got these a couple weeks ago in the size 13-14 I wear 14 in shoe but these have 1/4 - 1/2 inch extra at the end, but there really awesome feet pads and for the price that's amazing.

It wasn't realized when we ordered this product that the opening to get a foot in was rather small and doesn't have much give when you're trying to get toes up over the bridges in the bottom..... a style with more of a flap opening is advised for getting a 5 year old ready for sparring quickly and easily!!!

sizing seems to run a bit small

I ordered the size 1-2 foot guard for my six year old daughter who wears a shoe size 1. The foot guard was so small that she couldn't even get her foot into it. The quality seemed fine, although not as well made as the Rheemax gear that I use. The price was a lot better, though!

The Lightning products are very well constructed. Also, the price is very good and the $2.95 shipping can't be beat! The customer service dept. is very helpful also. We will be purchasing from KarateDepot.com again!
