      Cheap way to meet requirements

      It's nice to have a cheap alternative. I bought these because of competition requirements in a generally non-contact traditional martial arts program. We require full sparring protection because accidental contact is not uncommon among lower ranks with less control. If you are involved in full-contact sparring, there are WAY better choices, but for my purpose these are great

      adult size, minimal protection

      Your teeth are worth a better quality mouthguard. I ordered child small and medium gear and this adult size mouthguard was included. Although it can be cut, I returned it (unopened of course!) for a better quality, youth size.

      Too big

      It was a bit too big for me but I'm sure eventually I'll grow into it. Great value though.

      Great for the money!

      Great value for the money. They are a bit Large, but after some trimming, they can fit anyone.

      Mouth Guard (Came with set)

      Mouth guard comes with the set, but they don't take into account the sizing of the gear you are purchasing. I purchased kids/youth gear and got an adult mouth guard.

      Came with the Set

      This mouth guard came with a sparring gear set...pretty much a freebie. Can't complain. Yes, it will need to be trimmed down for fit. Botched the first one or two when we first got them, but got the hang of molding them and sizing them. I had to cut them down with some sewing shears (very sharp) to avoid the rough edges. I was able to get the right fit for my once 5 year old and 7 year old. Once they got the hang of how to mold them they worked just fine. These are fine for adults and will still have to be modified, but you may want to pass if sizing for a younger child.

      not a good fit

      Gave this one a shot since it was such a bargain, but even after repeating the boiling water fit process 3 times, I can't get a good fit. It seems this mouthguard is just too big and thick for a woman's jaw size. I guess I'll have to try a youth model.

      Definitely not the best

      I ordered a Macho Warrior sparring gear set and the set was awesome but the mouth guard sucks. I would definitely get a different mouth guard because I don't think this one will work very well!

      Must be trimmed to fit most youth!

      Mouth guard is sized ''youth'' and ''adult'' only. For kids that are not in their teens or have an exceptionally large mouth, the youth guard must be trimmed to fit. This leaves the once smooth, tapered edges thick & rough for a junior mouth. I'd rather buy a smaller one (off the shelf locally), rather than risk the ''no return'' online & have to hack it up like I did.
