Headgear

Measure the circumference of the head at about an inch above the eyebrows to determine your proper headgear size. It's easy! Wrap a string around your head and measure the string.

Kick

Sizing option is in men's. Women order one size smaller (if you are a women's 7, you are a men's 6).

Punch

To determine correct size, measure the distance across the lowest knuckles (the knuckles you punch with) of the 4 upper fingers (all the fingers except the thumb). Measure by laying knuckles flat on a ruler.

I've used the same lightning gear that I have now used for about 5 years. The head and hand pads hold up real good but the bottom of the foot pads mess up and rip off, but are still light weight so it doesn't feel heavy. Its the only kind I use.

I just got done fighting with the gear about one hour ago and I have to say i like it. The hands form to you and they feel great. The kickers could have more protection by the toes.

This set is just awesome! The sets that most places and dojos sell are way too expensive. I found these, noticed the price, and bought them. I was really surprised with the quality! I have had them for about 2 years now and I have only 1 tiny rip. These are great and last forever.

Great equipment. I take karate with my 9 year old son in a multi-aged and level class. Lots of guys in the class tend to get rough. I am really tiny, but I feel that I am well protected with this (they have not broke anything yet haha.) I highly recommend this set!

I ordered this set because of the price. The gear is clean and everyone seems to respond to the color of the blue set. I am happy with this set and will buy again, it is light and very flexible and seems to be just what my son needed for his sparring.

A great quality equipment for a comparable price! The order was placed during the busiest time of the Christmas season and was received in plenty of time to be wrapped and placed under the tree for a Christmas surprise. I love this set. My only problem is with the hand pads. I believe they should cover more of the forearm

I looked around to see what others were using when my son was about to start sparring. I saw the Lightning Gear and set out to find it. I found it here at a great price. Customer Service was great--they corrected my order before it got sent out when I made a mistake on the color ordered. Now that it is here, we're very happy with the gear! (Mom could do without sparring.)

This set is a very good value for the price. Bought individually, the total would be close to $100. Lightning products are very good quality, are easy to clean, and are true to size (in terms of what is published in the sizing charts).

I bought and own Lightning gear from this site. This gear is great because its durable, inexpensive, easy cleaning, and you look good whether you're winning or not. I say all my 1sts and golds are from my lucky blue sparing gear!!
