These shin guards offer great protection for the shin and the foot, primarily in situations when drilling with a partner or actual sparring. If you try to use them for kicking drills on a bag, thai pads, or a suitcase pad, you'll find that they will get twisted around your leg regardless of how much you tighten them. So again, a great product if used correctly.

My shins from the crook of my foot to the bottom of my knees are 16''. These were a perfect fit for that size of a leg. Although they must expect me to be ripped because the straps for these were huge. I can get the top strap tight, but the bottom strap is loose because I can't tighten it enough. They look good though.

The S/M size is too big for an average person. I am 5'11, 150lbs, and I could probably fit 1.5 of my legs in this shin pads. They would be great if a smaller size were offered.

The protection from these pads is great. The problem is that they are a bit too long. I would have purchased a smaller size, but then the straps would not have fit around my calves. All in all, it's still a good product.
