I bought these for my brother-in-law who is a brown belt in Isshinryu karate. He is the one that turned me on to karate and it is part of who I am now. I wanted to get him something really nice for his birthday and this was it. He LOVES them. He had never owned a pair of sais and I was so pleased to be able to give him such a nice gift at such an affordable price. They really are an awesome set.
