This blade is one that I carry in Arizona. The quality is tremendous. The sheath allows for a quick draw and isn't difficult to resheath. The blade is about the length of a Wakizishi (medium length katana.) The blade is best used in a samurai style in my opinion but just as good in a ninjutsu form of use. You can tell it's been forged with a good look at the blade and it's strength is great. Although not razor sharp it is more than sharp enough for practical use. Trust me on this one, I made a mistake in a quick draw stance and stabbed myself in the leg with it due to bad technique. It's simple design ensures that almost nothing can go wrong with it. I suggest much practice with a Bokken before using this sword or any sword of this style. This blade is probably the most reliable product I will ever have and I suggest this weapon to anyone in whose purpose is to use it for self-defense or even for a display for it makes an excellent display. As with any knife, sword, or other blade always use extreme caution even if adept with it.  Permalink

I own a total of 10 swords + this one. It is probably my favorite one. I really like the sword, its great for bush whacking or just showing off. I like the sheath, slim and easy to use. Beside on your back or your leg. You can also wear the sword on your waist with a belt. The sword is sharp and nicely made. Simple, yet strong. One sharp chunk of steel and a wrapped handle. This sword is great easy to pull out little tough to back in. strong metal about 420j2. full tang is great this way I don't worry about the hilt coming off the blade during an exercise. the chord wrapped around the tang is nice but spreads a bit when using. and cant seem to get the leg style to work but not a major flaw otherwise this sword is flawless in many aspects. If you are looking for a fully functional sword at cheap price look no further this is you're new best friend. Dasveedanya  Permalink

I bought one of these swords about 3 years ago and for the past three years I have been cutting down saplings, removing brush, and using it as a general cutting tool. I must say I'm impressed with its ability to function under such hard use. It's not exactly a good sword but it makes for a good machete. (Don't ever take a fine blade and use it in the manner I just described, it WILL ruin it over time).  Permalink

COOL! I love it! Great sword. sharp, light, and the black finish is AWESOME! I don't like how the straps are arranged, but that might just be me. if you need a practical offensive/defensive weapon, or are just a collector, I suggest this sword.  Permalink

This is a solid, quality constructed sword! And the black finish makes it look very cool. It is definitely a fantastic value. The only issue I have is that the hilt is rather flat and does not fit my hands very well. A rounder shape would be more ergonomic.   Permalink

I love the black finish, makes this a great sword for out in the bush or when you don't want too much attention. No glinting.
The edge is sharp but not razor sharp.
There's a finger-notch/blade catcher (you don't want your finger there if you are being attacked with a bladed weapon), which makes for pretty good balance when cutting.
