        This is an ornately detailed fully functional Katana. The bottom four inches of the handle can be pulled loose revealing an aggresively serated dagger with a 4 3/4" functional blade.

        The blade is tempered and hand polished Toledo steel authentically crafted and meticulously worked to create a practical sword that looks as good as it performs.Primary Blade:
        • Sword Class: Fully functional
        • Saya (scabbard) Length: 29 1/4"
        • Tsuka (Handle) Length: 9 5/16"
        • Tsuba (handguard): Faux ivory with cord wrap and gold pommel with Tsuru (Crane) design
        • Seppa (Spacer): Brass

      To those of you who own one and have commented, thank you, but to you idiots that can't read, here you go. The knife blade is 420 steel and not the main blade. The main blade is tempered toledo steel, one of the best steels on the planet, and $325 is right in line for this type of a blade.

      Too expensive and not enough carbon steel herea cheap sword will chip and break. If it's not at least 1045 carbon its not fully fuctional. It's not all about 9200 steel either- it's about the heating process.1045 could be excellent if made right. This sword would be a nice piece of it came with a certificate of the forging process and maker on it.

      I haven't bought this but I do know a lot about buying swords and about the steel. this seems like a terrible deal for the money.Theres now way 420 stainless would be fully functional I have a 1045 carbon steel sword and even its bad on light targets witch is why imp upgrading to 9260 carbon steel and that sword imp buying is top line for around 300 dollars from cheness.

      affordable and functional

      Great for use and priceand looks great too! I'm a freak about security so i keep this (aswell as a shotgun, taser, and pepper spray lol) next to my bed. This keeps me feeling safe at night (not that the shotgun doesn't lol).

      If your looking for a sword for functional purposes with an attached last resort for a low price, this is the way to go. Although it's pretty well balanced, it took me a little time to get used to the extended handle. I recommend for any intermediate or advanced martial artist, but beginners might want to stick with the basics first.

      Not a Good Deal

      I collect swords, and I know easily that 420 stainless steel will break easily, even on light targets. You want a high quality sword, look for high carbon steel content, and if you can find a folded carbon steel sword, even better off.
