The handle is faux ivory carved with mounted and standing samurai on a background of flowers, reeds and clouds. The hilt is an intricately designed dragon's head down to the scales on the underside. The hand guard is a dragon circling back on itself and the base and tip of the scabbard featured matching dragons.

The scabbard is golden olive with an ebony speckled flake pattern.
