Scabbard is polished black lacquered wood which matches the tightly woven black cord wrapping on the handle
Gold colored handguard against the black scabbard and handle catches even the slightest glimmer of light

This sword looks cheap. It feels heavy enough to be "real" though. The scabbard did not slide on smoothly. I would think that this sword would have cost a lot less than the sale price! Permalink

LIGHT! LIGHT! LIGHT!

WOW!!!!!! When I first picked up this samurai sword it felt like it had no blade or was made of plastic of something it is the lightest sword I have. I find this sword easy to stop after a counter but it doesn't have a lot of power but could do some damage. Lets just say, if you want speed get this! Permalink
