I returned this product. While it's constructed from real, solid wood, this is not a high quality stand--particularly at this price point. It arrived in a battered box, some individual pieces wrapped in a thin, brittle plastic that afforded no protection. The finish was not smooth (as suggested by the photo) but rather very rough, as the splintered wood was poorly sanded before a thin coat of black paint was applied. There were no assembly instructions, although it was easy enough to put together. It's a tool-less assembly, all the pieces roughly fitting or sliding into each other. However the frame would require screws for added stability. Its greatest fault is that it does not hold the bo staffs vertically (as the photo suggests), but rather at a 30 degree angle, which will only encourage bending and warping over time. You'd be far better off saving your $60 and just laying your staffs on the floor.  Permalink
