Product Description
    • High-grade, shock-absorbing foam with Nevatear outer layer
    • Power transfer ring in neck to minimize shifting
    • High-density plastic base is easily filled with water or sand for stability
    • Shipping weight 31 lbs., Product comes boxed (L x W x H): 25.0 x 25.0 x 65.0.
    • 52" to 65" adjustable height upon use

Freestanding bags offer the benefit of mobility and practicality. The Powercore bag has kept the best qualities inherent in freestanders and improved upon some of their common issues.

The nevatear exterior used in this bag is the classic material that has made Everlast one of the top heavy bag producers in the world. The interior of the bag itself is tough, resistant foam that is prone to keeping it's shape.

The neck features a power transfer ring that helps absorb the impact of strikes while minimizing shifting of the entire bag. The base is wide and created with high-density plastic. It can contain sand or water for filling (weighs 250lb when full).

Product has 31lb ship weight and comes in a box with dimensions of 25.0 x 25.0 x 65.0. Actual use size is adjustable between 52" and 65" in height.

Free Standing Bag

Is the Powercore Bag good for both kicking and punching? It doesn't look very long for kicking.

Yes it is good for both punching and kicking. The striking surface is indeed shorter as you noticed but can still be raised and lowered to practice mid level and high kicking.

too much vibration on floor

How can i do to eliminate the vibration on the floor whn im punching the bag? I dont have a house of my own so i live in a two family house and i dont want to bother the neighbors is there anything i can do for that or what type of mat should i use?

Hi Sergio. I recommend a rubber non-slip type of mat. The thicker the better. A cheaper solution is to pack your standing bag into a corner of the roon, but place bundled blankets/pillows between the basin and the wall. Also layer some blankets beneath the unit itself. That should take care of a lot of stability and vibration issues.

Hey blaner. When constructing the unit you'll notice that the stem detaches from the basin, which provides the top opening for filling. To get the water in there you can use a typical garden hose. Another trick is running a plastic tube from your vacuum cleaner (or otherwise) between your kitchen sink and the basin.

poor customer service

I received this punching bag as a gift, per my request, and it was completely missing 2 pieces straight out of the box. I didn't notice this at first, and proceeded to start putting it together. Upon moving it across the floor of my house, the base apparently cracked and started leaking water all over.

I called customer service and was initially told that the 2 missing pieces and a replacement base would be sent to me at no charge. When they hadn't arrived a week later, and I got no email confirmation (like I was told I would), I called back. The supervisor didn't know anything about it and insisted that they don't do refunds for an order that's 10 months old. I'm with the military and have moved from NM to ND in the meantime, as well as having had very little down time. The supervisor only told me that I could try calling Everlast.

I did call Everlast, and they are sending replacement parts, but I think it's ridiculous that a company not train their reps then not stand by what they say to their customers. I won't be ordering anything from Karate Depot ever again.

Hi soccurgurl. Sorry this was such a hassle for you! I'm not quite clear on something - did the base break and then you waited 10 months to reach out to us, or did you purchase the item and then not put it together for 10 months?

I think this is probably where the confusion with customer service occurred.

realy bad punching bag

in the first week I realized that the punching bag was no good, I have 20 years in martial arts and I think I had never seen a bag so bad, you can't adjust the height because the base inside the bag rotates with the bag and you can not adjusted at all, after a couple of weeks have broken part (the base that goes inside the bag) and we only use about 5 times for no more than 30 min ..... I really do not recommend. get the master wave!

Hi. I'm a 4'7" woman, and was wondering if this bag is a good fit for somebody my size. I cannot go with the children's bags. I'm 32 years old, but the size of a 10-12 year old child.

Hi shorty. Yes, this bag would be ok for you as the height of the bag is adjustable up and down. The BEST bag for you would be this one: tr-bg-771 because it extends all the way down (although it is more expensive).

How tall is the bag really?

I have been looking in to purchasing a free standing punching bag. I am looking for one to provide a method to work out at home as well as provide some stress relief for me. I am a little worried about the height of this product. I am fairly tall (6'4") and I don't want to purchase a bag that is too short and would be a problem for me to use. I was just wondering if anybody else who is taller than average has used this bag and what they think? Or if there is another one you'd recommend. Thanks!

Hi Bourbonowski. I'm around 5'10" and it can raise up high enough for head height kicking. Since you're taller you might not be able to do the same, but it's still pretty close.

Good Product

Just picked up one of these bags for my daughter who is in Tae Kwon Do. Was on sale for $99.99 at Big 5. She really likes it. Of course she can't do popcorns with this bag but other than that, no problem with the rest of her kicks. She gets a great work out with it. May be ordering some things from this site in the future. Prices seem competitive and they have a good selection.

Cardio Kickboxing

Would this bag be a good fit for punching and kicking for cardio kickboxing, or should I go with a lighter bag?

Actually this bag would be a great fit for that. It is light enough to be maneuverable, resistant and durable to take hits, and is height adjustable.

Here's a tip - once you fill it up with sand or water tip it on it's edge at a 45 degree angle and roll it to anywhere you need in the room (or out of the way after you are done).

Which one?

Hello! I have a 12 year old son who is around 5' tall. Which free-standing bag would you recommend--this one or the Everlast EverFlex? Both look like they're adjustable height-wise. Thanks!

They are really quite similar. The everflex has a little bit more give when you hit it, and has a more dynamic rebound. If I had to pick I would probably go with this one, but it could go either way.

Base was cracked

I probably would send it back except it was birthday present from a family member. When I put it together I noticed a huge crack in between the screw holes on the base.Im just gonna epoxy it...but I wouldn't recommend anybody else order this particular product, matter of fact since this is the first order from this site I probably won't be ordering from here again.

Hi mc13m. Very sorry to hear about that crack, especially since it was a gift. If you'd like we would be happy to arrange an exchange for you (keep it in mind if the epoxy doesn't take).

I don't know if the crack developed during product production or shipping, but that doesn't really matter. We hope you'll try us again as faulty products are by no means the norm or accepted as part of our process.
