This wraparound nylon unit can be strapped around I-beams, wood beams, or anything else that can handle the weight of a heavy bag. The durable nylon sleeve is buttressed by steel supports and contains a rubberized interior to prevent slippage. Attached to the sleeve is high test nylon strapping and metal rings that can handle up to 200 lbs of weight.

Good so far

Bought this for my small heavy bag (century 50lb)in the basement. The bag has taken a pounding and the holder is still strong. Mounted over the metal load bearing beam that runs the length of my house. (didn't want to drill into metal) For me, it hangs slightly (2 to 3 inches) lower than what i am used too(i'm 6ft), but is still fine for body work, punches, kicks, etc. Permalink

Maybe you can loop your chain assembly one or two chain links higher, which will make the bag hang a bit higher?

garage use

I would be hanging it from the beams in my garage and am looking at getting the tsunami 50lb bag. My question is if it will hang low enough from a ten foot high beam that a 5 foot 2 girl will be able to use the bag as its designed for. Permalink

Hi missjhans. I doubt it will hang low enough as the tsunami bags aren't quite as long as other heavy bags. I recommend a cheap little addition that should solve the problem: http://www.everlast.com/Heavy-Bag-Accessories/productinfo/EVHDHBS.

This is called a heavy bag spring and can add length as well as dampen vibration into the beams. Normally we have these in stock, but since we are out at the moment you can find one at the link above.
