It's very thick. Hard to tie the knot. The belt should be ordered a size up. The knot comes undone for anything more rigorous than kata, like sparring. But, I really like my belt. It's beautiful and works for me, since I got it a size above, like the others suggested. Permalink

The quality of the belt is great, especially for the price. However, the size of the belt is way off. The belt is short and since it is wider than most, ties even shorter than it is. Buy at least one size larger, maybe two. Permalink

I bought this belt because the one I was given at my promotion was to long. While that was a size 6, this belt at size 5 is almost to short. If you are in doubt buy a size bigger. With that being said it is a great, wide, thick belt. My only other complaints are about small white fuzzes that appear periodically on the thick part of the belt. In addition, the KD Elite tag is HUGE. This belt's thickness makes it worth this little inconveniences. Permalink
