Wish I had read tony's message BEFORE ordering. I would have ordered a size 9 instead of the 8. Either I need to lose 20# or order another belt. :(

I bought this belt because the one I was given at my promotion was to long. While that was a size 6, this belt at size 5 is almost to short. If you are in doubt buy a size bigger. With that being said it is a great, wide, thick belt. My only other complaints are about small white fuzzes that appear periodically on the thick part of the belt. In addition, the KD Elite tag is HUGE. This belt's thickness makes it worth this little inconveniences. Permalink

the KD tag comes off pretty easy and doesn't do any damage to the belt if you are careful. A seam ripper or a small pair of sisors works best.

inexpensive but still good

Although this belt lacks some of the embroidery and fancy details of high priced belts, it still supplies a great product at a great price. Having a few of these around the dojo is a useful thing for instructors just in case they need substitute or replacement belts on a moments notice. Permalink

Generally DS you would just match up your belt size to the gi size, although I think our stock goes up to 8. I'm not sure if that will meet your needs, especially as these tend to run just a bit small. In the interest of helping you though I believe meijin offers a size 9 belt which you could check out - http://www.dragon-tsunami.org/Products/Pages/belts.htm

I would recommend going with the size #6. User Tony Dunlop recommends going a size larger, so if you want to make sure the belt ends aren't too stubby you could go that route too.

Exceptionally Thick, But Really Good Quality

This belt is very thick and stiff, but I am sure it will break in and soften. The quality is very good so I am sure it will last for a very long time even with my ten hour a day workouts Permalink
