Thanks in part to the high level of grappling showcased at UFC events, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu has been growing in popularity at an impressive rate. Gone are the days where the casual MMA audience is confused by a tactical, technical ground fight. As popularity continues to climb, the Jiu Jitsu community has started to call for representation in the Olympics. It's only natural to start garnering support for the cause, so the fine folks at Do or Die have put together this special edition Hyperfly kimono. Logos have been customized to reflect the spirit of worldwide competition, such as the colored 5 rings integrated into the Hyperfly shield embroideries. All colors have been switched to the most sought-after color: gold. From the reinforcement stitching to the side vents and drawstring loops, everything is gold, giving this Hyperfly a unique appearance. The classic "You Can't Teach Heart" slogan is printed along the interior jacket, accompanied around back by an abbreiviated version... Along the bottom edge of the jacket exterior, a "YCTH" design is embroidered in gold. For the pants, DoD has added a vertically embroidered "HYPERFLY" outline logo.
Both the jacket and pants are 100% cotton and follow the reliable fabric choices of the Hyperfly collection. Lightweight 450 GSM pearl weave jacket and an incredibly soft pair of 12 oz. twill. Soft seam taping adds durability and comfort to the Gi's interior. In the interest of increased flexibility, the pants gusset uses lightweight stretch lycra to replace the traditionally all cotton gusset design. This 4-way stretch material alleviates pressure on the crotch seams and minimizes the possibility of fraying or bursting gusset stitching.
