This judo gi is designed and used by Mike Swain, one of the foremost Judo practitioners in the world, the only American male to win gold at the Judo world nationals, and coach of the 1996 American Olympic Judo team. This gi is made from 100% heavyweight, single weave cotton and features the Mike Swain logo on the pants and lower lapel. The top features reinforced stitching along the sleeves side vents and waist. The lapels of this uniform have been made extra stiff to withstand the rigors of competition and everyday training. There is rice grain stitching throughout the upper portions of the gi with traditional diamond stitching along the lower portions. This adds strength and provides a nicely textured surface for gripping. The pants feature a traditional drawstring waist. They have a fully reinforced gusset and extra reinforcement from the knees to the ankles. This uniform comes with a white rank belt that is 1-1/2" wide with eight rows of stitching. Available in a double weave version as well.
