Best care instructions for black uniform.

Can someone tell me how to care for a black uniform to keep it looking it's best for as long as possible? There will be build up of sweat and body oils that will need to be soaked out, but I only want to do so in a manner that will not compromise the set of the dye. Obviously oxiclean is out. Borax will break down organic stains and oily dirt, but I've only used on white uniforms. I look forward to your responses. Permalink

When washing my black gi I use black-clothing-specific detergent such as Cheer Dark. I'll generally do that with cold water and then hang dry as opposed to using the dryer.

Good material, strong stitches... Just the sizing. ..

I got a size 5, which is for 6'1 and 210 lbs. I'm 6'1 and 195 lbs and it's a perfect fit. Too perfect ;) I'm afraid that when I gain weight it may get too small... So consider getting a larger size. Permalink

I am quite pleased with this uniform overall. The fit is good. The pants are a little long, but that is due to my body type. If you are like me and have a 46-48 chest, are just barely 6' tall and have a 36-38 waist, the pants will be too long on the 5, but the top is perfect. The weight is just what I expected and the quality of stitching is better than I expected. Permalink

Sizing Info

Measuring your height will provide a more accurate fit than using weight alone. Please be sure to double check the sizing chart when ordering.
