I bought these a year ago and still practice with them. Not knowing of any dojo near where I live (that teaches ninjitsu) I mostly just practice with weapons. Along with these I bought the rubberized-foam speed nunchaku. Personally, I don't like real weapons because you can't hit people with them...Anyway, these are great to practice with, and if a black smear gets on a white wall it can come off with some water/saliva with a tissue   Permalink

I bought this jacket from century fitness for $10 more. I was very pleased when I received the jacket. It's durable, comfortable, and easy to move in. I bought this to replace the not so good jacket that comes with the Shinobi Shozoku. The one that came with the ninja uniform didn't allow me to move without it opening. This is very secure on my body and allows for maximum movement. My problem with this, which shouldn't be a problem for Karate practitioners since they wear it out, I have to tuck it into my pants and it's a little long for that, other than that...A+  Permalink

These were my first nunchaku aside from the cheap, plastic, wal-mart ones I got when I was younger (I'm still young, 14). I have practiced daily with these for over a year. I'm just kind of self teaching myself. Picking up whatever I can from books or other such things. I would probably still be in the hospital from the day I got them if they were wood...I hit myself so much with them. Now I'm really good and have no broken bones. I've never used corded so I have no problem with the ball-bearing, they are kind of squeaky but some WD-40 should fix that right up. I put clear packaging tape over the dragon symbol so I can still see the image clearly and it has very little wear. Some of the foam has ''cracked'' after hitting it on my dad's low ceiling during a practice session. Other than that...no damage. I like to practice on a mattress leaned up against a wall.  Permalink

I did not buy this set, but I bought all these items separately. I think the uniform jacket needs a little work, it's far from perfect. The bokken is a great practice tool, nice weight, yet light enough to wield with ease. The Tabi boots are super comfortable, I'm wearing the ninja pants and tabi boots right now, that's how comfortable everything is (except the jacket...). This is the best price for this item I have ever seen...get it.

P.S. Buy a black brushed cotton karate jacket from this site to replace the jacket with this uniform, it works much better, trust me.  Permalink

Ok, you can buy the whole uniform, get mad while trying to put it on, and throw it into the corner and not wear it again for 6 months...OR, you can buy the boots, socks, and hood the buy a brushed cotton tradional uniform, the jacket in that uniform is not ninja, but much better than this jacket, it wraps all the way around your torso, and has ties on the inside so it wont open, you can also get a sleeveless version of the jacket for a cooler look. The pants in this uniform are nice but if you step on one of the ties before you tie it, it will most likely rip of, but very easy to sew back on.  Permalink
