I received my bokken in very short order and I was very pleased with the speed of delivery and of course the $2.95 shipping. My only negative input is that the swords did not come wrapped or padded inside the box beyond the thin plastic wrap over the swords themselves. There were a couple of minor cosmetic dings on the tips and blades I associated with shipping. Beyond that I am quite happy with these items they are solid, sturdy wood swords and more than functional for my use. I cannot attest to the durability of these as I am not using them for contact sparring but instead for Iado training in environments where a live blade would be dangerous. There are solid in construction and the wood grain is beautiful. The tsuba is a bit cheesey but that is to be expected. All in all a wonderful product. Very affordable and with all items I have purchased from Karate Depot of high quality and an excellent value. I recommend these to any and all who are looking for affordable training swords.  Permalink

I've had the opportunity to wear my new uniform a couple of times and I am very pleased with the fit and comfort of it. As a mid weight gi it is cut with enough room to allow movement for any of my techniques or katas but it is also cut just right so as to be a good fit. The sizing chart was correct and overall I am very pleased with my purchase. I would recommend this uniform to anyone who is looking for a mid weight gi at an affordable price.  Permalink

This is my first bo staff. I have been using it for training for about 2 weeks now.
I am 6'4" and I was in need of a solid sturdy red oak staff that would be able to tolerate everyday use as well as suporting me as I learn my katas. Well this staff is so far been very good in all areas. I found it to be a solid and heavy staff I estimate weighing in at about 2.5 lbs. this is a desirable trait to me as I use my staff as a strengthening tool as well as a weapon and forms tool. I have noticed recently that my staff has begun to develop a few additional splits in the wood grain but as of this writing they have not posed an issue. I would suggest that this staff is not necessarily the best choice for practioners who are of a smaller body or lighter build they may find it a bit unwieldly or overly heavy. But for you bigger folks with a bit stronger upper bodies I would recommend this staff. I am new to this but I believe based upon the recommendation of my sifou that this is a very good tool. He was pleased with it when he saw it as well.  Permalink
