I practically sleep in these

Pro Shin & Instep Guard

No, for real. Super light, great padding, very durable. Not recommended for beginners who have sensitive shins (they're thinner, hence 'pro-style', for begginers try traditional style shins). For sure, the last shins you'll ever buy!

Great for the price

Pro-Style Shin-Instep Guard

I sent these on their maiden voyage about 6 months ago. They're not bad for the price. The straps make it a little tricky to get a snug fit. The padding is sufficent, not too bulky. While they're not Faitex or Windy (I CHERISH my Windy pro-style shins), they do their job while being lighter than some others with a slightly higher pricetag.

Nothing but great things to say about these. Awesome bag/pad gloves!

These will last forever

Medium Thai Pads

These are actually made from buffalo hyde, so they are heavier than most pads that are twice the thickness (a bit of a shoulder and bicep workout for the holder). That being said, you can't find better or more durable pads. These pads will last longer than you will!

Poor quality

Shock Doctor Gel Max Mouth Guard

Although, once fit, this guard does stay in place very well, the outer hard rubber shell tends to rub against the upper lip and can cause cuts on direct impact. This can be fixed with 5 minutes and a razor, but the inner rubber is way too soft. Mine melted when I left my bag in my car when my spare "cheap-o" mouthguard stayed in shape just fine. IMO, they spent too much time making this guard look cool and not enough thinking about quality.

Comment on: great product
MMA Shin-Instep Guard

"Top Contender" is a division of "Combat Sports Intl." They are very similar as they share the same construction with only small differences. This particular style are very light and stay in place relatively well. I, personally prefer the "pro-style" shin pads with a raised shin ridge and an open back, but that's just a personal preference. These will suit you just fine, however I'd use a heavy tape to wrap the base of the shin to prevent twisting, as with any wrap style shin.
