Great upgrade from a running show

Discipline High Top Training Shoes

I got these as a replacement for running shoes. Running shoes were straining my feet since they are designed for heal/toe action, and not so much side to side rotation (thumb side to pinky side) that's needed for quick stance adjustments or fast footwork. Probably has something to do with why recent running shoes are striving for the "barefoot" feel.

The Discipline shoes have soles that are thin enough to let you feel the ground, and have precise control over foot position. All this adds up to better balance, control, and precision of movement. They are feather light, and do not need break-in. (at least for me) When the shoe came, I basically took it out of the box, put it on, laced it, and went training. I run, do stairs, and jumprope in them and they feel great. (enough cushion) The air vent feels very nice. I don't get that "my feet are on fire" feel.

A word on design. I was hoping to wear these as day shoes on days when I have class so I can carry less... but unfortunately the design is too training shoe lookin' for daily use. Not to take away from the shoe, cuz that's precisely what it was designed for. But just sayin'.

I'm a newb in krav maga, ramping up on endurance through HIIT out of class.
