My son has been asking for a "heavier" uniform for months. His first was the 6oz. light weight uniform which is great for a beginner, very reasonable priced but a couple of years and quite a few belt promotions later he deserved a "sturdier" uniform. He's been wearing this now for a couple of months and is very happy with the "snap" of the sleeve.

It is thicker so he works up a sweat with a serious workout but he loves the feel and look of it. One bad point (so only 4 of 5 stars)...it arrived with one row of the top stitching "undone" around the collar. I wanted to send it back but my son liked the uniform so much, he said it didn't matter to him...it still doesn't. I guess I can just stitch it up myself on my sewing machine.

The size chart is accurate. My son is 5' and 106 lbs, on the lean side - size 2 fits perfect. I could've got a 3 with room to grow but I'm sure it would've been TOO BIG. I'm sure he'll out grow this one before he out wears it. I'll just have to buy the size 3 at that time. Shipping is fast too. Get this uniform, you won't be disappointed.  Permalink

I got this for my two children when they started Tae Kwon Do. I didn't want to spend too much not knowing if they would stick it out. It's been over a year now and this uniform has held up really well! It is a light weight uniform by comparison to others but has endured 2hr classes/twice a week, tournaments and belt testings for a year and a half. I highly recommend it for a beginner. I'll be upgrading my kids to heavier uniform now that they're going into their second year.  Permalink
