First Bo
White Wax Tapered Bo

this will be the first bo I purchase and I have been doing research for hours on different woods and tapered vs straight etc. but i am still unsure of what i should buy. I am in a stunt fighting group and just recently graduated to weapons. the bos we used are all nicked and scratched from battle damage and sparring using dull blades and various other weapons. basically I'm looking for a bow that is 6ft that is flexible but isnt gonna shatter when struck with a sword (i understand scratches are inevitable). being smooth allowing me to slide my hands is also a must.
my question is basically the best wood type and diameter for this scenario, I basically narrowed it down to rattan white wax or bamboo (the one they lend me at practice is bamboo) but i am still open to suggestions from people with more knowledge than me. as for diameter i am no really sure how to tell what the best diameter for me is when i can't personally test the bo (seeing as i am purchasing it online)
