Good quality for a great price

This bo is nice and light without the fragility you find in some super light competition staves. I really would have liked to have another 6 inches of length available, as the 5 foot is shorter than I like, but the 6 foot would have been too long. Either way, for the price I paid, it's a good staff to practice with, but I don't think I'll be using it in any contact drills. Permalink

This bo tends to be more for competition and is not particularly strong. I recommend this bo: wp-bo-20 if you want something that is tapered but also has sturdiness.

Sorry Steven I don't have the weight handy, but it is quite light. This is a competition style bo made for speed instead of impact.

Great Buy

My Son and I bought two of these staffs two years ago. The feel of the wood is wonderful. You have a solid grip, even when you sweat. We practice often on our cement driveway with the occasional drop and the staffs have held up great even though their a toothpick style. Due to my own negligence by storing my staff upright, the tip of one of the staffs has warped slightly but can still use in a competition. Definitely worth the price. Permalink
