A great weapon but it takes quite a bit of force to get it moving. If you are prone to injury then this is probably not the weapon for you. Permalink

Bit on the heavy side as these 3 section staffs go so I would recommend to start with white oak or foam. Other than that they are built well and look great when used properly. Permalink

I have to disagree with the last review, the rings aren't too long, they are the traditional length. And if you don't know how to use it, don't bother to buy it unless you want to join a class, its difficult to learn by yourself. Permalink

I bought the 3 sec. staff and it has held up to a lot of fights. It can handle a bo staff, a bokken, shinai you name it.. but the rings are too long and the staffs will flop around if you don't know what to do with it. Permalink
