      This unique escrima stick is made from lightweight rattan wood, then heat treated to harden it which adds durability and strength. The Tiger Skin Escrima also features inlaid carvings at one end that are not only decorative but also provide a secure and comfortable grip. Unlike traditional rattan escrima sticks, The Tiger Skin escrima stick has unique burn patters to resemble tiger stripes as well as a thick, rich gloss that provides a durable and protective finish.     Tiger Skin Escrima Stick

    This is exactly what is described. A good quality Escrima Stick. Only negitive thing would be that the diameters do vary, so if ordering more than one, there is a good chance that the sticks will be of different size. But for the price and quality I believe this to be an excellent product.

    Different size in sticks

    I just ordered 2 of the Tiger Skin Escrima Sticks for my daughter. One stick is longer than the other and it says 1 inch sticks, but one is more than 1 inch and my daughter says she can feel it then she uses the sticks at the same time. Will it be worth returning both sticks and order 2 new ones and hoping that the sizing will be more the same. I saw somebody has complained about the sticker, why havent you changed that, because it is very sticky.

    They will get you squared away with a replacement. In the meantime, your main option would be to simply cut down the longer stick to match the shorter.

    The sticker is for liability coverage and generally comes off with some soap and warm water. Nevertheless, we realize it is a pain and will hopefully be able to figure out a superior solution.

    Kali sticks

    Kali sticks come in all shapes and sizes. These are the larger diameter sticks. The quality was good. The problem is the size. Yes I purchased them, however when working with other students who have smaller diameter sticks it's difficult. The tiger engraving looks nice but it will hurt your hand after heavy use. Plus most wrap the ends with tap so this is an added cost that is not necessary.

    Awesome weapon

    I just got my order today, almost an entire week early! The weapon feels really authentic and nice in my hands; I can't wait to use it in class.

    What I like most about it is the design; not only can you see the tiger skin style but the texture is cool as well.

    Only 2 problems with the weapon:

    (1) It was shipped with a warning sticker on it (cautioning users against physical injury) that was hard to take off
    (2) It won't fit in my duffel bag, but its not the weapon's fault... time for a new bag!

    Great weapon for a great price, from a great online store!

    Escrima Sticks!!!

    These sticks look great and perform well. I only gave them a 4 because, out of the 4 that I bought, 2 are the exact same size but one is really bigger and one is really smaller than all of the rest. I just wish they were all closer to the same size, but I would buy them again.

    So far so good...

    Have used for the past few weeks. I have stickfighting class 1 day a week and we generally pound them pretty hard for at least 30 mins if not 45. These are the best I have used to date. Will update if they end up failing soon.

    Update: I have broken two of my PARTNER's sticks using these. Mine are still going strong. I may have to buy more just to give them to the class.

    how does this work

    if i buy 2 of them will they both be the same or will one be heavier than the other or something like that

    Hi Shadow. Each of these sticks is made to be as similar as possible to the others. However wood is a natural substance and therefore can never be precisely the same.

    ...but the pick line needs some education on thinking of the customer. I've bought sticks and wondered what they were thinking. Most recent was a pair of the burned white wax wood escrima sticks. You can't select two with similar intensity of the burn marks? Received one really dark and one really really light. Hope management can have a talk those that make the selection. So hard to get good help these days. lol

    ummm yeah; are we still in the dark ages??? how hard is it to have simple quality control (QC) in there like every other factory in America?? match the sticks up in pattern & length, or tell your supplier to get their act together, or you'll find a diff distributor. how hard is it to set the length on the chop saw at the factory? My 6 yr old can cut 2 sticks the same size..... good grief, what are they made in the jungles of brazil by aboriginees?

    Worth the price

    I have been using these sticks consistently for about 2 1/2 weeks and they have been holding up just great. The definately feel like they will break on first contact with another stick but they haven't splintered or cracked. I practice sinawali drills with a partner, and I beat the hell out of a tree; just so you know what I do with them. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for another pair to add to their bag. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is because the cut out grips don't really feel comfortable but the sticks do look really good.

    Do the Tiger Skin Escrima Stick come individually or in pairs?

    Don't want to buy 1 and only get 1 or get 2 and end up with 4.

    I was so happy KD started carrying these in both the 26 and 28 inch sizes - these are my second favorite stick on the market (I haven't actually seen my favorite for 15 years) - the sticks were straight, dense - and from experience they last for years.
