    Type of Fans?

    I think fans are so interseting that I want to buy one however, I don't know which type of fan is a good type. I know they have steel, bamboo, alumnim, etc and have didn't type of measurements but I don't know what works well on both type and size.

    Hello jersey. The type of fan you get is going to be determined by your intended use. If it is for simply cooling yourself off then you will want a bamboo variety. If you want to use it for forms you could go with bamboo or aluminum. If you'd like to try using it for combative practice, steel would be a wise choice.

    What's this?

    Why is this called a fighting fan? It doesn't look like a weapon to me, because I own some Asian fans.

    About the Fighting Fans

    Well I got a supposed to be fighting fan off ebay. The bad thing was it was a hand fan so when my child tried to play with it, it broke! so i was wondering is the bronzish sealing copper? It of course needs to be durable.

    Hi Katom. If you want to get a fighting fan that will last you have to go with aluminum, like this one - wp-fa-25. Of course you'll have to consider if it is safe for your child to have, but that is totally up to you.

    nice fan

    One of my girls wants to learn the fan because she thinks it looks very elegant, innocent and yet can be very powerful. This is a very nice looking, quality fan .

    Good traning weapon

    The Bamboo Fan is a very good weapon for traning and very good for beginners. This fan does have it's down sides, it is a lot lighter then metal fighting fans, and the fabric frays.... not such a big problem!
