Product Description
    • Thick canvas upper
    • Velcro closure along the length of the boot
    • Ridged tread pattern provides excellent traction while reducing noise produced by foot movement
    • Also available in a long version

These traditional-styled tabi boots are made with a thick canvas upper. The boots are secured by a Velcro closure that runs from the base of the heel to the top of the boot. The soles feature a split-toe design, this is to keep the natural gripping ability of the foot while keeping it protected from the elements. The soles also feature a ridged tread design to provide extra grip and traction while remaining virtually noiseless. Also available in a long version.

These shoes are designed to fit very tightly around the foot. If you would prefer a more comfortable, sneaker-like fit, consider ordering one size larger than what you would normally wear.

I bought these with a set that came with the boots, a bokken, and traditional ninja outfit. I had heard that the boots were a little smaller than normal shoe size, but after ordering mine a size larger wanted to get the lower size instead. I wear size 11 1/2 shoes, and ordered size 12. All that said and done, I just wore thick socks to go with them, and the problem was partially fixed. I am definitely considering ordering the outdoor tabi boots now though!

These are amazing, they are very comfortable, but one warning they wear out after about a week of wearing them if you wear them all the time but they are well worth the price.

I have purchased tabi boots from other locations, but those have neverfit the good!! These were purchased for casual wear and I am ordering another pair just to have them on hand!! The price and delivery is also very good!

I was surprised to find just how comfortable these boots were. I wasn't expecting them to be uncomfortable, per say but they required no breaking in period at all. I did need to buy some insoles for them simply to pad my landings, but if you're not going to be jumping around in these boots, you won't *need* them. Quite apart from the quality of the boots themselves, is the price Karate Depot offers: I've seen these same boots on other sites for fifty dollars or more. Also, the sizes are not quite on with standard shoe sizes. I ordered a size 10 and instead of being the same size as my shoes, the boots were the same size as my foot. So I reordered a size up. All in all, I'm very pleased with these boots.

great!

Really comfortable, though you might need to get some soles or paddings, also you might want to avoid getting stepped on. Always buy a size larger than what you are wearing now

I loved these shoes! It feels likes I'm walking on air, they're so comfortable! The only reason I didn't give them a 5 is because they started looking like pigs feet or camel toes about 3 days into wearing them. It's not that bad because unless you're looking for camel toes you don't see them.

Amazing

These Tabi boots are the best shoes I've ever bought. They're VERY light. It feels like I am wearing socks with thin rubber soles on them. They're also very flexible for climbing trees and stuff. The velcro keeps them very snug and they are really silent. I recommend you get them 1 size bigger than your normal shoe size so they aren't really tight. (my friend got his normal shoe size and the toe on his boots ripped after a few months.) Also, you don't need the tabi socks unless there too uncomfortable for you. I just pushed in my socks in-between my 1st and 2nd toe and did it that way and it wasn't weird feeling after the 3rd or 4th time.
The downside to these is that after a half a year of wearing them (if you wear them as much as I did) the grip stars to get un-grippy and they rip near the bottom, but if your not too extreme with them they will last a good while.

I got them with the Ninja Costume set (best deal on the net) The short boots are pretty easy to get on (get the tabi socks you will not regret it!) Once on, the heel and ankle was a little loose, and of course an Amerika-jin is not used to such forms of footwear, but once I wore them around the house, took a few runs around the yard, I barely notice the looseness. I will get some cheap slipper insoles because these boots are high impact on the ground and I like a snug fit. My only real complaint is that the space in between my toes began to get sore after a while, but maybe it's just me since I just started wearing flip-flops and zori this year. All in all, these just look freakin awesome. I kept looking at my feet in the mirror I couldn't get over the awesomeness. Well worth the money and waiting for them on backorder.

Ok, so I got these, and I was thrilled with the fit. 10's were perfect for me (they fit like a size 9 bowling shoe). These plus the socks were very very comfortable!! When I wore them to my gym class everyone was making comments on how they looked like the ninja turtle feet. Then I smoked them all on the mile and was not so tired. THEY ARE THE LIGHTEST MOST COMFORTABLE SHOES EVER! The only problem is there is no arch support, which isn't to bad. If your thinking of buying them and your unsure if they are comfortable b/c of the split toe, GET THEM. the split toe is actually more comfortable than regular shoes and sock.

Very comfortable, but why velcro?

For shoes that are supposed to be silent, these are pretty noisy. The sole is just fine, but the velcro attachment is absurd. Whose idea was it to put velcro on Tabi boots? Every bend of the ankle is accompanied by the velcro creaking and popping, making it impossible to sneak.
Other users have said these are absolutely silent. How did you silence the velcro, please?
Besides the velcro, these are very light and comfortable shoes. I recommend ordering one (or even two) sizes smaller to ensure a snug fit. I wear a 9, and ordered a 7, which fit perfectly.
I plan on removing the velcro and adding laces to make these shoes suitable for stealth.

I am very happy with my tabi boots, it does take a while to get used to them though. I use them all the time for basically sneaking up on people and playing with my friends. If you wear them outside you sort of get the feeling that you're bear-footed, and you might feel kind of weird, but also when I wear them all of my friends think they're cool and want to try them on. All and all if you're into ninjutsu or ninjas period then you'll love them! But I think you should get the longer ones, just because they are original and they look cooler!

Ok, these shoes are awesome! Comfort is maximum, they can handle impact and great for silent running, they barely make noise even in the woods! Great buy!!! The tabi socks are also worth the money.

I normally wear a size 8 1/2'' in shoes . I ordered these in a size 9 and they fit perfectly. The velcro closures on the back are excellent. I liked these so much that I have ordered a set of the tall boots and will post a review once I get them.

These are a must-have for anyone who likes going barefoot. I have spent most of my life trying to escape shoes, and these are the first shoes I've had to remember to take off! Thick cotton upper part protects from cold as efficiently as any form of running shoe, and doesn't suck in or hold in water. The rubber sole is thin and flat, which is bad for people who are used to shoes, but great for those who love being barefoot! When you wear them, they fit the feet so well you can hardly tell you're wearing any shoes!

I personally used these shoes and recommend them to my students as well because of their long usage life. The are far more durable than traditional tabi which I also wear. I only rate them four stars because I like the traditional tabi tab/loop closures and they are difficult to wear with wariji and geta. Overall they are an excellent Dojo/outdoor tabi!

These are definitely high-quality shoes, they haven't ripped, torn, or anything, and I used to wear them everywhere. They're great even without the ninja uniform. Great pair of shoes.

These shoes were described accurately and are a snug fit. They were shipped in a very timely matter....the only reason i give 4 stars instead of 5 is because they don't have an arch in the shoe which makes it uncomfortable to walk.…I just cut up one of my old shoe's padding so it can fit in these shoes with the split toe.…Overall great shoe! and even better store!!!!

Just the coolest shoes i own!

The first thing that struck me when I got this product was its intimidating cool looks. They begged to be worn. So I put them on and immediately found out that these were the coolest freakin' shoes I've ever worn. They are extremely light and comfortable and a great thing to wear around the house and outdoors. That's what I love about them; they can go anywhere!!!!! Super easy to put on and absolutely silent. I recommend these shoes to anybody and everybody.

Note: I also recommend buying the tabi socks (trust me, you'll want to).
