Small should be fine. Also to get an accurate judgment for the shoe size, measure his foot in inches and compare it to the mens size on this chart - http://www.i18nguy.com/l10n/shoes.html

You'll be able to see the right adult mens size.

COOL!!!

got this in the mail on thursday and i was pleased with my purchased!im here to put my review on this item so here it goes....now im 5'10" and 160 lbs and i ordered a large size and good thing i did because an XL would have been way too big on me.although the sizing chart says otherwise i still got the large. with my height and weight, the large size still has a baggy feel to it. the jacket part fits perfectly, but the pants are BIG! i mean it stretches down to the ground and its really baggy...but the tabi boots that came with this costume compromised the length of the pants coz you can tuck it inside the boots and it will fit just fine!now speaking of tabi boots you should really buy the high cut boots if youre buying this uniform separately.it looks way cooler than the short ones! about the shoe size. you should definitely go down your original size coz this is not your regular tennis shoes, it doesnt have padding inside and i think it is made out of canvas like material(like coverse shoes). so definitely go down a size and it still fit you well.the mask on the other hand is a tad bit big on my head considering the fact that it's stretchable. not a problem though. the only downside about this review is the so called "instruction"...how do i put it into simple sentence....oh yeah it's like deciphering a bomb!crazy on how they come up with this how-to-instructions!all in all, i am satisfied now that i can be a ninja doing ninja things. hope this review helps for everyone that is unsure of the sizing

Overly good but...

Let's start with the good stuff
1) It really is a pretty cool suit which gives a great feeling
2) customer service are really helpful through email/ phone
3) Everyone got here safely and neatly.
Now I do have some issues with it:
1) International orders WILL NOT get to you quickly I paid more money for the shipment than the actual product, and it was disappointing to get it late.
2) The Tabi boots seem a bit poor made, and they didn't have a size 10 1/2 so I ordered 11 a bit big.
3) it's annoying that there is no way to really close the Jacket.
4) You will spend at least 2 hours to understand how to tie your pants properly.

All and all the rest of the equipment seems fine the Boken is not wood it's made out of black plastic and looks like a toy not like what the picture show.

The suit does give a very good feeling on you, all and all it's not a perfect fit you will have to play with it to get it fixed on yourself but the guys at the website give very good suit- size Advice.

And they send really high Quality Tabi Socks.

boyfriend is 6'5 and 253 pounds. What size? If I order it on 12-14-2011, will it be here in time for xmas? And is it of good quality like a Gi is made of canvas/cotton. I need it to look authentic, not like a halloween costume. Thank you

Hi Kiki. I believe he would fit in the xl, although the xxl would provide some extra breathing space. The quality is quite good and does mimic that of other martial arts uniforms.

In terms of shipping, when you add this to your cart and goto checkout the website will give you predicted arrival times. You may have to select a more expedient option, like 2nd day air, etc.

Don't buy

Jacket is too small. Pants are too big and horribly confusing to fasten. One of the arm guards is missing the finger strap. The eye hole of the mask is horrbly uneven. Terrible buy, hands down.

What size should I buy

I'm 5'10"-5'11" and I weight approximately 162lbs on my lean days. I would say i have a very lean body type to the constant working out I do. What size should i be purchasing a Medium or Large? I don't want it to be to baggy but then again I don't wanna run the risk of getting it to small.

Any suggestions??

Thank you,

* Note i do have slightly longer arms*

Yes returns and exchanges are not difficult. Just email csupport@karatedepot.com and they'll provide you with a 'return merchandise authorization' number (Read more here - http://www.karatedepot.com/csupport-exchange.html).

This costume does come with a black wooden sword (lightweight, not for hard contact).

Hi Kim. Your son will fit fine in a small. As for the boot, get your son's foot length in inches and then compare it to this chart: http://www.i18nguy.com/l10n/shoes.html. You'll be able to see the american men's boot equivalent, and that's the boot size you'll want to order.

One good thing about this ninjutsu uniform is that the boots and arm wraps cover up short sleeves and pant legs. That being the case, you could probably get a large and not have a noticeable length issue.

I've noticed that we have the short tabi available in 9, so this set is viable: wp-ni-90. I'm not noticing 9 available in the long tabi with this set or with the boots alone.

small vs medium

Hello,
I was looking to buy a small. But only medium is available. My son is 4 feet 9 inches and 90 lbs. Will small be available soon?

Since we still have all the other sizes available it will probably be a few weeks before we order another shipment.

If you'd like you can try the XS, and if it doesn't work we'll arrange a refund.

Sizing

Hello, I require a quote on which size.

I and 6' 2" and weigh 150 lbs. Also is the Tabi provided suitable for outdoor use.

Also do you ship to Australia?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thankyou.

The large is appropriate for your height, and the medium for your weight. Therefore I think you'll have to err on the side of large. The tabi can be used outdoors but is susceptible to moisture.

Shipping to Australia shouldn't be a problem. I'd recommend adding the items to your cart and then going to checkout. Before you have to pay you'll be able to see shipping estimates and options.

Size?

Ello Peoples, I am About 5ft 9 inches tall and weight 155 pounds.(Skinny build) Shoe size 9 1/2

By the size chart Im guessing go with a large and a (9) boot? is this correct or go with a medium?

I would go with a medium (these uniforms are surprisingly accommodating). A 9 boot will be snug, a 10 comfortable.

For the uniform, you could fit in a medium right now comfortably. If you expect to continue to grow, you might err on the side of a large.

As for the tabi, go with the 10.

This particular kit includes the uniform (mask and everything), tabi boots, tabi socks, and a wooden bokken (sword). You could fit in a large and have it be tighter to your body, or go XL and have it be looser.

If there are any other ninjutsu weapons or items you need, you'll have to add them separately to your cart.

Great ninja outfit!

My Ninja outfit arrived yesterday and I am very pleased with it. It seems well made without any glaring defects or flaws. I'm 6 ft 160 lbs and a large fits great. I got the size 10 tabi (normally wear 10.5) and I'm glad I didn't get a size bigger, as the velcro at the heel keeps the fit relatively loose. I absolutely love the tabi socks, and I plan to buy several more and use them as my default dress socks. There are, however, a few issues. The elastic end on the gauntlets is tight, one so much so that I'll have to stretch it/resew the elastic to keep it from cutting off the circulation in my relatively thin arms. Also, the tops of the tabi are rather large to accommodate people with bigger calves who still want to tuck in their pant legs. I'll probably sew in some more velcro so there's more overlap where the shoe closes. All in all, this is a great set that I wholeheartedly recommend

Sizing?

I'm not sure what size to get. I am 5'11" and weigh 150lbs, but I'm very thin (29"-30" waist), so things are usually a bit too baggy on me if I go by sizing charts. I tend to wear an Adult Medium.

Also, I'm not sure what size boot to get. I usually wear a pair of cowboy boots (size 9) but they run on the loose side. However, I also own a pair of 8.5 work shoes but they're a bit too tight. I plan on doing a lot of running-climbing-parkour stuff with the boots.

I'm thinking of a large (a little worried about shrinkage) and size 9 boots. Would that work? Also, can you send back individual parts of the uniform that don't fit or do you have to send the whole shebang back?

Thanks!

Or, I could get an extra large and shrink it. Random extra fact: my arms run a little long. :)

Hi Vatican. I actually recommend a size medium for you. The medium will properly accommodate your body weight. And, interestingly, the shortness of the sleevs and pants won't be a problem. This uniform comes with separate forearm cloth pieces and tall tabi which makes the length of the sleeves and pants almost negligible.

If you're a little worried about shrinking you could go large, but I wouldn't go bigger than that.

As for the tabi, go with 9.

You would have to send the whole shebang back. We'll take it back for whatever reason, but you would have to pay the shipping cost to send it back.

rough terrain wear

I'm considering wearing this as a fun costume as I participate in a 3.5 mile off-road obstacle course called 'Warrior Dash". I'm wondering how comfortable the tabi boots would be for such an event, as I would not like blisters. I wear a size 11 mens, and I'm also not sure about the sizing.

Comfort-wise you'd probably be ok. The problem might come in how quickly these shoes absorb moisture. Depending on the weather and obstacles, you might get a little bogged down. Just something to consider.

This suit is actually higher quality than your average halloween costume, and quite comfortable too. You'll probably fit in the large, but the xl is better suited.

A size 12 would be a tight fit for you.

This package includes the long, hight top tabi boots.

Love it.

I'm Absolutely happy with it, all the reviews i read seemed to be right on the dot.
The instructions are HARD to understand , no worrys theres a great video here to help with that. takes a bit of practice to get it on you nice and neat but once its on it looks great, much more than just some "costume". I really should have gotten size 8 tabi but i figure i got some room to grow into em (got size 9 and im a size 8 1/2) but other than being a tiny bit big the tabi boots fit very well and are comfortable as heck oddly enough. the outfit is oddly warm, i spend all day outside in it today in our current michigan chill and it kept me nice and warm.
my only complaint is that the socks were a tiny bit tight, they fit, just a bit rough to put on. hmmm the boken is nice too , nothing i'd spar with but a good thing to have to train with before you buy a ninjato or a chokuto.

But yeah, over all great deal, very great deal.

Dissapointed

Well i went on my first mission in this ninjustu uniform, it was well suited but the mask was a big problem it keeps shifting and the part that goes over the nose and mouth is stretched out way too much and to much excess head room, the mask is just simply to big, it was really getting in the way i thought i was impressed when i put it on but when its time to move, the problem is the mask is just too big i probably wont be purchasing anything from hear again cause nothing is being done about this, luckily i can salvage everything else, but i am very dissappointed by this!!!

Very Good

Everything fit well and was (still is) in good and durable condition. The tabi boots are great for my climbing and running/stealth endeavours, although they are a bit small now (I ordered them a while back), and I will soon be ordering another pair. The bokken was of good quality, but was not as is depicted in the picture above: it was actually in daito and not ninjato style, and was pretty much like my other bokken (which I also ordered from here), but with a black cord wrap and an end cap. It is of slightly lesser weight.

Apart from the sword being different from the one depicted (although still of good quality), I was completely satisfied with the uniform (I do not think the term 'costume' does it justice), and would enthusiastically recommend it.

Hello.
I've bought Deluxe Ninja Costume in 10/29/2010 and I´ve got an e-mail who said that it would get to my adress by 11/22/2010, but when I logged in to view my order's details, it was saying that it was in 'backorder' status. No belt is included in this package. If you wanted a karate style belt you would have to order that separately.

When you're account is withdrawn from, the dollar amount will be converted into pound amount and only that amount will be taken.

Good stuff here.

I find the quality to be of a professional one, much like my gear for Tang Soo Do. Though tying the simplistic one-string hood is beyond my comprehension, it all looks very authentic. I am 6'2'' and weight about 220lbs. The xl was a little baggy but good to go. The Velcro on gauntlets & tabis are lame, and I plan to replace them with hooks or buttons.

The Deluxe set did not include two very required items; a belt and leggings. The website did not claim to include them, however, it is a pain to have to order them after the fact. I think adding a belt and leggings while removing the bokken from the combo purchase would be a solid and smart choice.

Quality and design

Hello,

I just wanted to let you know that I am deeply satisfied with the quality of the outfit. Very relaxed fit and breathable materials, yet it still keeps you warm so that'll be good for Halloween and other nights to come. But here's my problem, the design of the pants is retarded, why could it not follow the design of a traditional Gi like one would wear in Karate class. Secondly, why is there no belt? Would make a lot more sense to have a belt that goes around your waist, instead of relying on the poorly designed straps of the pants. Thirdly, the mask a way too big on me, should washing that and drying it shrink it so it's not so loose? Honestly looks like a giant condom on my head. The other issue I have with it is there's only one tie on the hood, which makes no sense at all. Sigh. I'm venting, just spent the last two hours trying to figure out that combo with the pants and jacket, ugh.

Pleased

Ordered it on Tuesday night with super saver shipping and received it by Saturday, so shipping was incredibly fast, which was nice. Pants/top looked rather large when initially putting them up on but tie up nice. Hood/mask fit slightly awkward, but not really enough to detract from the overall product. Only problem was while even just putting it on the finger hole on the gauntlet snapped, but its no big deal, just gonna sew it up. Tabi fit well. Also, instructions are a little bit lacking, but anyone with half a brain could figure out how to get it on. If I could give this 4.5 or 4.75 I would. Very good quality for the money.

Well, I'm 5'5" and about 125 lbs. I'm really unsure what size to get because I'm a mixture of to sizes according to your chart.

Very fast shipping and very nice product. Keep in mind when ordering that the sword is for "practice use" only and is not ment to be super authentic. However ninja costume is very authentic looking. Love it!

I just got my order today. It pretty awesome. The quality is very good. The instruction is kind of confusing. I had a hard time trying to figure out how to put the pants and stuff on. It should have a string on the jackets like other karate jackets so it can stay snug to my body. But other than that I was very satisfied with my purchase. The shoes fit perfectly. I ordered a size down since I was half size. Perfect.

Duplicate order?

I ordered 1 of the deluxe ninja costumes last thursday. Today it arrived...well actually 2 of them arrived. I still have the online purchase confirmation on which i only ordered 1 and i am 100% sure that i did not double click confirm. Can an employee please check in on this cause i only wanted 1. I have not unwrapped either of them yet by the way. For some reason it prompted me to make a new account upon ordering so the email i used was jimmyzhen@hotmail.com

An xl in this uniform is similar to a regular adult size large. If you wear an adult large than xl will probably be a comfortable fit. If you tend to go with adult medium then perhaps order a large for this uniform.

im 25.5 centimeters (cm)in converse (well and in all the shoes etc) what size should i get?

the 2 question is that if it will come me with this uniform:

Sizing Question

Hello! Very excited to order for Halloween ^_^
I'm 5' 4" and about 135 lbs, so judging by the other questions you've answered - I should go with medium.

What size shoe should I order? I'm a woman's shoe size 9 - for men's sizes I've been told to go down two sizes to get an accurate fit. Since these shoes are more form-fitting, should I go with a sz 8?

Yes medium should be fine for you. Also yes I think the 8 would probably be the best fitting option shoe-wise.

Sizing and Shipping...

I previously asked a question about sizing and was told that the Large size would be a good fit for my friend, but when I went to set up my order there was no Large size available for selection. I'm wondering if there are no Large sizes, perhaps you've ran out and if this is the case will there be anymore available soon? I would most likely be using UPS ground delivery if that is available for selection. So if using UPS ground delivery when would I need to purchase the outfit in order to have delivered to Montana before Halloween?

Thanks!!

Hi, i recently sent in a mail order with money in it in late september and i havent gotten a notice that it is being shipped. Our smallest uniform size is XXX small, and that generally accommodates children who are 3'7" - 3'10" (or in that ballpark). The general weight range is 30-45 lbs and the children's casual clothing size is comparable to 6-8.

For information on larger sizes than that you can scroll to the bottom of this page where we have our sizing chart.

You'd be very unstealthy wearing a black ninja uniform on a white background!

It's not waterproof so you'd get wet, but the items would not get ruined.

Sizing...

I'm looking for a Ninja costume for my friend. He's about 5'5" and roughly 145 lbs. I don't exactly know what would be a good size for him. Maybe the medium? Also his shoe size is around a 9. So would I just go ahead and select a size 9 shoe? Thanks!!!

The ninja outfit size "large" is equivalent to a regular adult mens size medium. That being the case I would probably order "large" for him.

As for the shoe, yes a regular 9 should be fine. It will be snug fitting, but that's generally a good thing for tabi.

I think a size large would be just right. As for the shoes, if you go with a size 6 they could be snug, but you might want that depending on what you'll be using them for. The size 7 is obviously a safe play. The choice is yours!

I think you'll be a perfect fit for the XL Mr. Shade. The tabi are tougher because we don't currently have your size in. You can either go with one of the sizes here or get the alternative ninja costume with short tabi here: wp-ni-90 which has better shoe sizes for you.

Hey Rudeboi. Yea the 11 size is a popular one so we run out of stock from time to time. If you'd like you can go with the other ninja costume: wp-ni-90 which has short tabi available in size 12, which would be pretty much perfect for you.

Not in the normal karate sense, but the pants do have long ties that go around the waist.

Hey Jago. Go with the large, I think that should be a good fit for you. The shoes size you can pretty much match up exactly to your existing 9.

XL would definitely accommodate you length-wise, although it might be a bit tight around the midsection. If you want ensured comfort you would go with the xxl, just understand that the sleeves and pant legs will require some cuffing.

Boot sizing, etc.

I don't understand the boot sizes on this page. I normally wear a size 10 men's combat or motorcycle boot but I don't know if that is the equivalent of the size 10 tabi boot. Also, I am 5'9'', 180 lbs. and was wondering what size uniform you would recommend. Thank you very much.

The tabi boots run very close to normal shoes sizes. As for the uniform, the large would fit your height but might be tight around the midsection. Therefore the x-large might be appropriate.

how do you tie the mask

Here is a quick useful video on putting on a traditional wrap type mask: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OCNHxf8DJrA, however I believe that the mask included in this set is a simple tie in the back.

Stretched Ninja

Hi, I am 6ft 4 inch tall and quite lean. Do you have a size that will fit. My armspan is just over 2 metres. Will this be too short for me in the arms? I also have size 11 1/2 US feet. Should I go for the size 13, or 10? Is there much flexibility in teh shoes?

If you go with the x-large you might experience a little shortness in the sleeves and pant-legs, but it will be less baggy on you. If you go with the xx-large you'll be fine height-wise but there might be an abundance of material for you to deal with.

Unfortunately I don't think the shoe sizes available in this set would be ideal for you. You may have to go with this set: wp-ni-90 and get the size 12 short tabi boots.

Go with the large Chandler. It will be a bit baggy, but any smaller and you run the risk of experiencing short sleeves and pants.

If the beginner has a good instructor than this suit will be fine. Otherwise it can be a little tricky to get right without guidance.

Hi Raymono. You could purchase the uniform here un-sp-10 and boots here wp-ni-14, but this particular package (with the bokken) is a rare deal and you wouldn't be saving much money by buying the items separate.

The sword does not have a sheath. There is a hidden pocket for throwing stars. Full sized chucks wouldn't fit in there, a belt would probably solve both of your needs.

I think you'll want to go with the large or extra large. the xl will accommodate your height better, but the large will be better for weight. If you'd like to analyze it a little more, scroll to the bottom of this page for size ratings.

I am really impressed with this uniform. It's made of the same quality material you'd find in a normal white karatedo gi and is made of good material that isn't too loud (especially for using it in ninjutsu). Not to mention that karatedepot gets you your stuff super quick. my order only took about 2-3 days to get here!

Ups: Good material for all the uniform, great pair of tabi, with socks, (this is what sold me..since you can't find a decent pair for less than $60.00) good size ratios

Downs: although the pants fit great once you figure them out, the instructions aren't much help. just make sure to tie them the same way you would your aikido pants (same tying system). the wrist gauntlets are a little less than desirable but easy to modify or replace.

great product over all. comes with a pretty nice boken ninjato and seems to me (after 3 weeks of use) to be holding up to medium-heavy training.

My first impression of the photograph was that the ninja appeared to be a formidable opponent. I proceeded to order this menacing and stealthy looking uniform but found that the ninjas that they hired to deliver this product were weak and inferior. I think the ninjas were from the southern cho province because they wore a strange looking brown uniform. These ninjas were quickly overpowered refused to defend themselves, they fled with great speed.

My new uniform fit nicely around my girthy waist and I noticed my life points quickly jump to full power upon putting on the mask.

The only reason that I rate this package a 4 star is because the included weapon was defective. Upon the first strike to an opponent it inflicted minimal damage and shattered at the strike to the opponents raised forearm.

Buy this ninja uniform and be prepared to battle, just use your own weapon.

I was unsure about the size to order because I am 6'3" tall and 170 lbs so I ordered an xl and this size was perfect!!!! it is of excellent quality and I will recommend it to all my ninjitsu partners!!! I have no problems with the mask as others have mentioned, as mine fits perfect. and I wear a size 11 in tennis shoes and ordered a size 12 in the tabi boots and they fit perfectly.....thanks for a great experience shopping with you....you have just gained all my martial arts business!!!!

Have studied several styles over the last 10 years and have had many uniforms, this is a good weight uniform, the directions I thought were rather simple and with a little common sense it is rather easy. If you wear a half size shoe go down to the full size not up with the Tabi boots. 5 stars a real winner.

The costume has a good thickness to the material. You have to watch out for the straps at the bottom if you step on them they'll pop off real easy. Tabi boots are great and the sword is well balanced. The reason I gave this 4 stars is mostly because the directions and it can be a little hard to figure out exactly how to tie the straps without looking like a complete idiot.

Pros:
Great thickness to the fabric
Comfortable and quiet boots
Very authentic all together
Cons:
Sword a little cheap
Sizing all screwy*
Tabbi socks were on back order
*I ordered the large and the mask was way too big. A mask is supposed to fit tight, but I had to use safety pins in order to keep it from going under my nose. The directions could be better, but it's not impossible to navigate through it. Final Thoughts: Pretty good, I was pleased with most everything I received. I would recommend this, but not for the summer.

This is cool, the bokken pretty much blew my expectations out of the water. The tabi boots were also cool, I didn't expect them to be light. the only thing bad about this is the hood is weird.

Love it

The uniform is cloth, not vinyl or paper-thin material. The boots are real cool. I used a display swords I have, not the wood one. The hood and mask is complicated to put on if you don't read the instructions that come with.
