I got these for XMas from my fiance', and I've been very happy with them. The rotation is smooth, and the balance is very good. I like them because they are beefier, both in size and weight than a lot of other chucks I've tried, but not excessively so. My only complaint about them is that the shiny finish chips fairly easily. The first move of my kata is a Block, Capture, Throw, and when crossing for the capture the first time, I knicked the surface a bit. I've been a little more gentle since, and it hasn't been a problem.

These Nunchucku's are fast & smooth. Figure eights are fast & smooth in broad spectrum. (e.g. tight to wide open) As I do my switches, spinning, figure eights, ect, there is absolutely no slack, and that's good. These are great for practicing your katas. When you're ready for the floor, when it counts, go with the Shikata.
The only thing that I didn't care for, was the packaging. Just like my other chuks and other weapons, they were packed loosely with absolutely no cushion. They still showed up in mint condition! This Nunchaku is a great buy!

Great item. Light weight = Fast movements. Won my first weapons tournament with these. I got the black and silver. I ordered ball bearings but the corded ones came. I simply called them up and the new ones were here within a day or two with a box to mail back the other ones. A great buy, highly recommended
