They came in the mail 2 days before I expected! Keep in mind they are RUBBER and hollow PLASTIC and are not meant to strike things with, but to practice swinging em around so you don't hit yourself. If you're anything like me though, you smacked something and your chuck is broken. No problem! Wrap those suckers up with duct tape and wa-lah! The extra weight is nice aswell

These chucks worked really well, were balanced, and were a great help in learning some new things, but the actual nuncuck broke(not at the chain) right in half after only three days…

I'm a beginner and this is pretty great. I hit myself a ton already and it doesn't hurt. :) The only gripe I have with it is that the chain is way too long. I'm an adult (21 years old) but I am 5 feet tall, and it would be best if I could remove 2 of the links.

highly recommended than the younger 8in v rubber which I started with, which are great too but these nuchucks are nice, great weight, length, and being a young person the length of chain is great. (would've been best if u removed 1 or 2). good for practice not for hitting though.

I bought these to practice with..because ive always been interested in nunchucks and wow they're awesome. They are very solid, made very professionaly for a cheap price....they hold up to all the damage you can put out on it...the only thing wrong is the black dragons wore off after a while...but i could care less about that. The chucks are the important part...and they dont even hurt when you hit yourself...good chucks for kids and adults to practice with.

These are pretty awesome, heres why: 1.) Got to my house two days before it was expected 2.) The plastic is not ultra-cheap toy sword-type plastic. Top-notch plastic (+2 stars) 3.) The first thing I did with these was eagerly tear off the top of the package, and swing them around. When I hit myself on the very first swing, it didn't hurt much! (+1) 4.) Its witheld MANY impacts with concrete and trees and the sort. And its not damaged, not even the rubber.(3+)

I bought a pair (gold art on black grip) as a Christmas gift for my 9-year old grand nephew and he loves them! I must say I was expecting a cheap chain/bearing assembly, but was pleasantly surprised to discover the build quality is remarkably high for such a low price. The foam rubber density is just right in terms of firmness. I played around with these a bit myself and the weight seems appropriate for learners. Due to the foam rubber, there's some bounce to these, particularly noticeable when retrieving to a single hand. This can make them more difficult to gather, especially in a smaller hand. I expected this prior to ordering, however, so I have no complaints. I can't speak to the durability of either the artwork or the rubber itself, as this pair has only been used a few days, but I maintain the *initial* quality is top notch on these. I will definitely purchase more of this item from Karate Depot when the need arises, and I recommend this company to others. I also thank Karate Depot for keeping shipping costs sane – that helps reduce budget strain at Xmas time! I ordered late and the nunchucks still got here in 3 days (which was a few days before Xmas), so shipping is quick for the price!

I have studied martial arts for less than 2 years and have developed an interest in weapons so I decided to buy a couple of things. I have never even held a pair of chucks until my order arrived. I think for my level I would have been better off getting the corded chuks as the ball bearing seems fast and maybe a little more difficult to control for my novice level, but I will get some instruction in class and I am sure these will do fine. These things are very soft with the padding and therefore risk of injury should be nil.

My son is wanting to learn the Nunchucks as part of his weapons training. I got these for him to use around the house. The rubber does tend to slide down the shaft but so far they are holding up to 8 and 7 year old boys.

I purchased these foam nunchaku's a couple of months ago and they are great. Practicing with wooden nunchaku's can be dangerous when you're first learning or practicing with an opponent. You're much better of using this. I have another pair very similar to the ones that I bought from Karate Depot and they are heavier. I prefer the ones from Karate Depot...

Great nunchucks, though I do prefer metal and pine ones, these are perfect for dojo training as nobody gets hurt! I myself have accidentally knocked my sensi unconscious before, using pine, but this makes it a lot easier!

Great practice for beginners and experts

These were my first nunchaku aside from the cheap, plastic, wal-mart ones I got when I was younger (I'm still young, 14). I have practiced daily with these for over a year. I'm just kind of self teaching myself. Picking up whatever I can from books or other such things. I would probably still be in the hospital from the day I got them if they were wood...I hit myself so much with them. Now I'm really good and have no broken bones. I've never used corded so I have no problem with the ball-bearing, they are kind of squeaky but some WD-40 should fix that right up. I put clear packaging tape over the dragon symbol so I can still see the image clearly and it has very little wear. Some of the foam has ''cracked'' after hitting it on my dad's low ceiling during a practice session. Other than that...no damage. I like to practice on a mattress leaned up against a wall.

They're awsomness!

I had never used weapons before and believe it or not I hit my head a lot, luckily these are very safe and I didn't knock my brains out. The only down fall is the dragon insignia wore off after a while of use. Will hold together well if not pounded against a bed post. The pen cap things did fall out though.

Decent

I loved everything about this, except the chain is way too short for me, being a 6'5'' male.

it's an awesome product, very lightweight and fast. You can learn any new techniques without any bruises. The only reason I gave it a 4 is because they wear out pretty fast, and the foam tends to come off with repeated use. Everyone should have a pair of these on-hand, beginners and experts alike.

sigh.. disappointing

I am fairly experienced with the nunchaku and was thrilled when i finally recieved this. I had planned to use this to spar with my friend but just after 2 days of use, it had broken apart. I had lightly used it to practice my attacks on my wooden bed frame and i guess the plastic tube inside the foam wasnt too durable after all.

great price, great product

Very good for begginers, excellent durabillity, excellent speed, and you dont get hurt while using them!!!

I gave it four stars because they tend to bounce and my dragon logo disappeared after a month of use.

I bought one ball bearing rubber nunchuck and it works great for practicing how to fight with real nunchucks. The rubber foam stuff stays on really well. They makes a great present for any martial artist at almost any age. I highly recommend them.

These are very nice for practicing new movies or if you are a beginner. If I had a pair of these ages ago I wouldn't have hurt my self so much. My only complaint is the light weight. Aside from that they are great.

Great Nunchuck!!!

Very speedy, light, and silent in movement. The ultimate in practice nunchuks. They are very durable. I've hit them around a lot and they are in prime condition. The only thing that wears away is the dragon logo. Keep practicing with them, and they will be mastered in no time. I give it a 4 star rating because the foam slides off occasionally (with repetitive use).

These nunchaku are not loud at all. They are weightless and a perfect addition to my martial arts arsenal.

very good for beginners / those who dont like to break things if they drop them

Good weight and balance, makes for some very fast movements. The swivel is very nice and right up along side the wooden nunchaku swivel in quality. I prefer these to the cord variant, these have a better weight and a slightly larger pvc tube in the middle, which I have found less brittle. These have a good good lifespan, and will last a long while unless you start striking other objects with them, which they are not designed for and therefore have a tendency to break on you. overall.. great value.
