Yes, Missouri should not be a problem. We always advise folks to check their local laws in terms of carry and usage of nunchaku though.

Hi Richfran. I don't have this particular model of nunchaku handy so I can't give you those exact dimensions. I've put it on my order list to get more information about it.

Hi Sejon. Usually same or next day, however the customer service staff does get some evenings and weekends off. As such, you'll never have to wait more than 2 days even over holidays. If it is taking longer than that, please resend to customer service at

Hi Nico. definitely go with the 12" version. It's a more standard size and 'finding' the handle when manipulating them is much easier.

Broken Nunchuck

I recieved these nunchucks a month and a half ago and one of the connecting pieces was a bit wobbly where it attaches to the wood, I didn't think it was cause for a return. I was practicing today and the chuck came loose where the bearings are and went flying, luckily I didn't hit myself. I've only dropped them on the floor a few times but never intentionally hit anything with them. For $15 I guess they were ok for a month and a half, I'm looking for a higher quality pair now.
BTW I have 2 pairs of the white foam chucks for KarateDepot and those are still working great.

Broken Chuck

I purchased two of these Nunchaku, unfortunately one of them has broken after less than 5 hours of use, I have emailed customer service twice now and still await a response.

I sent them macro pictures of the broken chuck to prove that I was not bashing them into anything, the paint still glistens and the chain is intact - the bearing guide has just disengaged from the top of the chuck, I am not of familiarity with such an item to repair it and I was only able to find 3 of the bearings.

I have read about the nylon string version of nunchucks and have since purchased a pair of them as I believe they will be easier to maneuver and repair should the string suddenly break free while I practice strikes on air.

For states that have hard and fast laws you'll likely encounter a stop block during the shipping selection phase of checkout.

this will be my first pair and i just want to know if i should aquaint myself with an 8" nunchaku first then go to 12", or if its just a matter of personal preference?

I'd go right for the 12. You'll clunk yourself with either early on, and then you won't have to adjust to a new size later on down the road.

Another Question....

When it says Shipped does it means it reached your house or that a the shipping is in process?

"Shipped" means that it has left the warehouse and is in transit toward you. It may not have necessarily arrived yet.

Call if you don't have your stuff in a week. I just found out, after waiting a month, that my order had been cancelled. They could not verify something so they said they sent two e-mail's and refunded my money last week. I can go to tracking now and it will still say, item waiting to be shipped!

Do these have alot of speed and could be used for training/combat?
by: Michael

These are fast, but I wouldn't consider them 'speed' nunchaku as they are still made out of hardwood instead of light wood like rattan or hollow plastic.

These would be fine for training.

Really good nunchucks

I bought these a while ago and they are still working like Day 1. My only problem with them is that they are pretty heavy and don't have a lot of speed.

However, they are a strong and reliable pair of nunchucks; I've gotten so much better using them, and because of their weight, I've gotten better conditioned and stronger. Mine doesn't have any scratches (I hit quite a few things, including myself), and they are an overall great pair of nunchucks.

Ships Immediately?

I have been waiting 5 days for my order and it is still "processing." It was supposed to be a birthday present and I paid extra for faster shipping. Yet it still hasn't even shipped out yet. So basically I pay extra just to have it shipped later to me? I think you all need to modify where it says "Ships Immediately" to "Ships At A Leisurely Pace."

Do these nunchucks have another type similar, but with ropes instead of chains? Which is better rope or chain?
by: eli
10/22/2010 4:14:54 PM
Was this helpful? (0) (0)
I don't believe we have an exact duplicate of that model with rope, but you can check out the whole selection here -

As for which one is better, that is mostly a matter of taste. Some people like the heft and spin of one over the other. Generally chain is a bit heavier while rope is easier to repair.

Actual Length?

So are these 12" all together or 12" with one stalk? I saw that someone else posted asking how long the chain was where you answered 6" inches. So does that mean this is 30" long overall (2 stalks at 12" and chain length at 6") Please let me know. Thank you in advance.
by: Glenn
10/3/2010 4:04:26 PM

Hi Glenn. The 12" refers to the length of one handle. So from tip to tip you'd have about 12 5/6 12 = 29" to 30". So yes would be the answer I think!

This was my first nunchuck and it is good for practice. The wood is pretty solid but when they hit each other they make small dents. When you drop them on concrete or something rough and solid, the paint chips, but barely. Otherwise this is one of my favorite chucks

Oh boy are these nunchucks just great or what? I've had these nunchucks for about a year and a half already, and let me tell ya, when you're being chased by evil dragons, they sure do come in handy. The only bad thing is that the paint comes off very slightly, but it's not even noticeable, so don't let that stop you from buying them.

I was impressed with this pair. The weight is alright and the bearings are excellent. I do recommend oiling them right away though. After a couple of days mine started to make grinding noises (i.e. they didn't come oiled). I would recommend these.

Easy to use, Solidly built

As a first-time purchase of this type of weapon, I have been impressed both with the sturdy construction as well as the functionality. The no-frills design is just that---all business. Also, the ribbed handgrip carved into the end of the chucks assists the user in maintaining a firm hold and positive control over the weapon while practicing. Although lightweight, the chucks themselves are sturdy. This product is a good purchase for anyone buying nunchucks for the first time.

Excellent for beginners

Nice weight, easy to maintain control on retracting after a strike. Not a devastating weapon, due to it's light weight, but efficient.

A very reliable weapon

These nunchucks are great. It takes a while to get a hang on how to use em but once you get it it becomes almost second nature. These things are long lasting, durable and inexpensive. A great buy I recommend it.
